This was a beautiful stop to take in and get a feel of what this little town was founded on. We drove down to the pier and watched them hoist a fisherman's boat out of the water. This is one of only two hoists left in the UNITED STATES. Before leaving the pier area, we paid our respects to their memorial of those who were "Lost At Sea." We walked the dog along the overlook while watching all the fishermen trolling at the mouth of the Rogue River. Very peaceful, beautiful bridge, gorgeous scenic day.
