Wander Orford Cliffs — Hotel in Port Orford

The best way that I can describe Wander Port Orford is: an architectural wonder. I visited this home a few months ago with friends and we are still talking about the experience today! As soon as we drove up to the house, we immediately realized that we were not staying at a standard rental home, we were about to be living in luxury.

The entire walled structure of the home is glass, giving us 360 degrees of breathtaking floor-to-ceiling views of the Pacific Ocean during the day, brilliant sunsets, and unadulterated views of starry constellations at night. The home’s secluded location gave us the privacy and peace we need to recharge from the business of life.

The open kitchen and living room structure in the center of the home made it great place for cooking meals together, watching movies and playing board games. Almost every device in the home is “smart,” meaning you can control it from your phone and adjust settings to your precise preference. The bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the home, each with its own desk setup, which gave us the option to work in our own space.

Unlike other rentals, Wander is meticulous about ensuring that guests have the optimal work-from-home experience. Each desk has a high quality video camera and microphone duo, which came in handy for the many meetings I had to take during my stay. I also used the standing desk feature to work on my projects, trying not to get too distracted by the beautiful views right outside.

Wander provided us with everything that we needed during our stay, all cooking supplies, bathroom toiletries and home amenities. I don’t know of any other company that provides a stocked mini bar, a fridge full of drinks, and snacks; truly a delightful surprise. There was even a WANDER TESLA that we used to get around, making it super easy to go on some nature walks in the afternoons.

Did I mention that there is also a full gym in the house? I am always worried when I travel that my fitness routine will be derailed, but not at Wander. Every morning I did a quick warm up using the Peloton in the gym and then used the weight rack to even out upper body. On days that I was feeling a little sore, I hopped in the sauna to unwind and calm my muscles.

To top it all off, the customer service concierge experience at Wander is unbeatable! The best airline connection from our home was to Eugene, OR, which is a ways away from the Wander. Customer service helped us arrange our transportation to and from the airport and even had our pre-selected groceries ready at the home by the time we arrived, how cool is that!

I have stayed at a Wander property before and I can honestly say that I am more and more impressed with the brand with each visit. I no longer need to decide where I want to go for trips because I now only want to travel wherever there...

This place is absolutely breathtaking. From the minute you walk in you're blown away with the decor, ambiance, and the floor to ceiling wrap around windows. Perched on a cliff, you feel unplugged from the world. This wander house has great amenities like a hot tub, nespresso machine, dyson hair dryer, projector, mini gym, and tesla!
