Pueblo Viejo St. Lucie West — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

Met up with my friends for dinner. The restaurant did away with their happy hour special so that was a bummer. The waitress didn't seem pleasant or happy. She was not attentative at all. I had eaten before coming to the restaurant so I wanted something lighter. My friend and I each ordered the pueblo viejo salad. I requested the shrimp not to be cooked in any butter or oil. Took over 30 minutes to get a salad. Another friend had her baby with her and unfortunately she had to leave because baby was getting upset. She didn't even have the opportunity to eat at the table since she had to wait so long for her food to come. She asked for it to go then left. While I waited, I had asked 3 times for a refill on water. My friend had ordered a mojito and she got her food before her drink. The waitress' reason was because they were looking for the mint leaves. This restaurant has a full liquir bar ao shouldn't this ingredient be a common item at this type of restaurant? My salad was pathetic. Shredded iceberg with what looked like steamer bag veggies piled on top. The shrimp looked like the pre-frozen cocktail shrimp platters I see at the local food store. There was no dressing. I had to ask another waitress to get my waitress. I returned the salad. Then a different waitress came up to the table and inquired about why I returned the salad. After I explained to her, she proceeded to tell me about another frequent customer of theirs that ordered this salad regularly. She explains that this customer had a special dietary need and preferred low fat and low salt foods. First of all, don't compare me to another customer. This customer is on a cardiac diet. Not me. They pretty much assumed I wanted my order just like their other customer. This salad was $14. I was so disgusted I didn't order anything else. My friend didn't get dressing either. No one at the table had a good experience. I left there upset and disappointed. I used to really like the place. Won't be coming back anytime soon or maybe ever. Worst experience ever at...

Well the first time I try this restaurant was for lunch 5 months ago, it was delicious clean and excellent service….however I was eager to take my husband to try a new restaurant for him, we start ordering a bahama mama for my husband and a lemon drop martini for me, my luck my drink was a i no o no fake and terrible drink taste from a can or a mix box 🤢 I end up ordering a soda. Then my husband order a nachos for his main course and I order Carne Asada for mine. First off the ground beef from the nachos had a yellow color NOT THE COLOR FROM GROUND BEEF my husband asked me to taste it and he tasted like 90% fat 10% beef It was pretty gross 🤮 The server took the plate back and the manager came over, trying to go back-and-forth with us saying that everything is fresh! I wasn’t saying it was not fresh I was saying that the beef taste it disgusting. And my husband didn’t want it, The manager was rude and rolled her eyes at us. It doesn’t surprise me, someone with not Manager skills, Instead of saying our apologies I’m sorry the food came out wrong let me get you something else, nothing she just walked away. And about my dish I was expecting a nice piece of skirt steak for 23$ it was a paper thin like no more than 3-4 ounces of meat rice reheat it and the beans 🫘 were a NO NO! PLEASE!!! My question is what happened to the food or the cook from five months ago you need him back!!! because the one you have now is questionable! Sorry, but you guys Were successful for the quality of your food and now not so much, the server was the best thing we had. Chipotle has better and fresher...

Just want to put it out there that I ordered my food through uber eats. With that said, the delivery was just fine. Had a severe issue with the order and food quality. I'll start out with the missing items. Ordered the fajita burrito (Chicken) and the chimichanga (beef). That is exactly what I got. No side of rice or beans. It also came with chips... but the salsa wasn't the quality of salsa i've grown accustomed to over the years. If that were the only issue, i would have sucked it up. I had my two orders and popped some french fries into the air fryer in lieu of rice and beans. Its a weird combo, but better than nothing. Turns out it wasn't. I would have been better with nothing. The chicken fajita burrito was absolutely disgusting. Why, you ask? Let me tell you something (said in a Fire Martial Bill Voice) The glorious zesty almost orange sauce they normally liberally splash seductively over the soft warm flesh of the toritall was replaced with...and I kid you not, some Ragu type substance that was more akin to spaghetti sauce than anything that came out of anywhere near the southwest reaches of the US or Mexico. I swear they had some Italian guy named Luigi working in the kitchen instead of their normal staff. I hope. It tasted like tomato paste straight from the Contadina can. It didn't pair well with the overly cooked chicken jerky inside the burrito, nor the fist sized pieces of red peppers. Pair ALL of this with the stupidly high prices and.... I truly hate to say it... I'll probably never order there again. Tis a sad day. I'll have to find a...
