Normally, I donāt like writing reviews, but this one deserves the time to express how I felt. This was the worst experience of my life. If I could rate it -10 stars, I would. I had a $200 purchase, and at checkout the clerk offered me the opportunity to apply for the storeās credit card because it came with a 20% discount. Given the significant amount, the cashier persuaded me to apply, and I provided all my details. The process began at 7:55āÆPM, and by the time it was completed, it was already 8:00āÆPM.
After processing my application for the store credit card, the cashier informed me that I should pay with another card because the new card required approximately 10 minutes to be activated in the systemāand they did not want to wait since they were about to close. Naturally, I wanted to use the new credit card, but the clerk was told that the manager had instructed that no waiting time could be allowed. After spending an hour selecting my products and completing the application process, I had to leave without finishing my purchase because they refused to wait for a service they had initially offered.
When the manager arrived, I expressed my concerns, but she completely ignored me and demonstrated a severe lack of customer empathy. As a manager, she should set an example in customer service. Finally, I asked the sales clerk if, given that they were unwilling to wait, my credit would remain unaffected upon cancellation. She assured me that it would not be impacted. I confirmed this directly with Ultaās corporate office, who verified that no physical ID is required for purchases and even filed a formal complaint on my behalf. I have made purchases at other Ulta locations, including the Vero store, with no issues using my digital ID.
