Went through the drivethrough recently for a couple of spicy McChickens and fries. I asked for no mayo and checked the receipt to be sure. When I got home, found gigantic globs of mayo on the sandwiches.
I'm not really upset, as I've worked in fast food and realize that stuff happens, especially when it's busy. I called the store and spoke with the manager who apologized and assured me that there would be a note put up so I could come through and get it made right. I give her my name and that's that. Cool, no problem.
I didn't get back into town for another five days, however, but stopped by to square things up and get some nuggets. Talked to the cashier in the drivethrough who hmmed and hawed before getting the manager. I paid for my nuggets and pull ahead to talk with the manager, who just blew me off. He refused to honor the ticket, refused to even look at my receipt, and then actually asked if I still had the five-day-old sandwiches to prove it to him. I was stunned and told him that I wasn't going to sit there arguing over two sandwiches and that if they're going to make this big a deal over it, they can keep it because I need to get to work.
Where do you find someone like this and promote them to management? Is less than $4 really worth pissing off a paying customer by acting like they're trying to pull one over on him? Yeah, the great McChicken heist of 2021, I'm sure.
What are the owners teaching their managers? I ran a fast food restaurant years ago, and I would not have hesitated to just give it to them because keeping a customer who just bought more food is worth more than the two sandwiches.

Service here is always a little slow but I mean come on it’s the only fast food in town? What can you do. No biggie for me at least but I understand on a management level wanting to improve service. Now what you DONT do by wanting to improve your ratings and service is yelling at your staff in front of customers about how “ IVE BEEN HEARING ALOT OF BAD STUFF ABOUT MY NIGHT CREW” and then following it up with some more yelling about whatever the hell to another staff member, Whoever that man is in charge also not only clearly showing his bad behavior verbally to his crew but topping it off with making his body language clear that he is NOT having a great time. Pacing back and fourth, Waving his hands around like he’s annoyed. And just to put the cherry on top when he handed me my food he barely even looked at me and very monotone “have a good night”… Right so are you sure it’s the crew that’s the problem or their leader? let’s reevaluate here and please know your staff WILL NOT respect you if you belittle and disrespect them to their faces. Read moreWe had a terrible experience here yesterday going through the drive through. I ordered a Buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich and when I got it the only thing inside was the chicken, two pickles and it was covered in sauce. It was disgusting. I later realized that the lack of any veggies was likely due to the recent e coli scare. It would have been nice to know that before I ordered my meal!! I paid full price for an item that didn't come with everything advertised. Not to mention my husband asked for ranch twice (once when he ordered and again at the window) they assured him they included ranch but when we drove away we discovered no ranch. Such a waste of money. I recognize McDonalds is fast food but for $30 for a meal for two people I expected better. Disappointing. Not going back any time soon.
Updated 8/10/20- I decided to give this McDonald's another chance. I was craving a milkshake and after I ordered and got to the window I learned the ice cream machine was broken. They said I could order a soda instead. I ordered a medium root beer. I drove away before tasting it- mistake. It was terrible!! It tasted like super deluted soda. I was so disappointed.
