Honey's Homestyle Creamery — Restaurant in Port Wentworth

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I read through most of the reviews and unfortunately my experience was different! People are quick to say don’t make everything about race but to me, I felt my race played a part. Upon entering the establishment I was not greeted yet there are 2 young ladies in there talking to a couple in there. I get to the counter no spoke or said I will be with you in a few minutes. While one young girl was helping another customer, the young girl was walking around, moving the pillows around on the sofa. I was standing there for over 10 minutes. When the young girl finally came up she stated and I quote, “ do you know what you want?” I greeted her and she, “ Never mind, I will spend my money somewhere else!” I was not even given subpar service! Ok, I don’t know where to begin on the level of spectacular that this place was. To start, the sweet girls at the counter immediately greeted us and were so helpful in explaining flavors and letting us sample. I noticed the owner even came out and worked the coInter, which is always refreshing to see. She was also so helpful and sweet. I went with the cookie butter and turtle in a cone, and it was absolutely amazing. You could taste how fresh and “clean” the ingredients are. This is the real deal, real ingredients, really homemade treat that everyone needs in their life! I’m only sorry that I haven’t tried this place sooner! This is an awesome small, local business that everyone needs to support! Kudos to Honey’s Homestyle Creamery for nailing it all the way...

This place is the best in the area, if not EVER! Spoke with the owner who had told us a bit of the background on how she came up with the name (her dog) and how everything they serve is homemade in house. For those health/dye conscious she even uses natural foods to color her gelato! My husband is not a big sweets person but he opted to go with a double scoop in a cone (no small feat). We taste tested nearly every flavor offered and it was so hard to pick only two. She even does a 5 flight tray if you really cannot make up your mind! Definitely worth trying it out…you...
