Five Guys should seriously be in the new food pyramid or whatever they are calling it now. My daughters and I love food. We love to experience new tastes and new places and thrive on new experiences, but of all the places we like to go, the one that gets us most excited, and salivating, is Five Guys. Part of what makes it special is the fact that they make every teeny little thing fresh for you. The burger is thick and juicy and all the ingredients are good quality and fresh. You won't find a soft tomato or wilted piece if lettuce in this place. Good ingredients make the burgers so much better. On top of that, the absolute greatest thing is the fries. The fries are amazing. As you walk in, you walk by bags of fresh potatoes. Nothing frozen here. The fries are made from fresh potatoes right out of the bag and freshly peeled. You can smell the freshness all thru the air too. The whole place smells good enough to make you salivate. The first time we went there, we made the mistake of ordering a single, large fries to split between me and my 11 and 13 year old daughters. Their idea of a large fries is to fill up a giant cup with fries, dump it out in your bag (your meal comes in a brown bag), then fill up the cup again and put it in the bag cup and all. There were so many fries we had to take half of them home. I put them on the grill with some asparagus the next day to crisp them back up and they were as good as new. There is just something about the place that we always enjoy going there. The combination of the food, the people, and just the whole experience is so good, we just want to keep going back. Definitely one place you won't regret going if you like a good burger and...
Read moreI ordered a cheeseburger on a lettuce wrap instead of a bun on DoorDash. When the ordered arrived the store had made me a lettuce wrap with all the toppings and condiments but not burger patties and no cheese. I brought this to DoorDashes attention and they gave me a $4 and some change credit for a $15 burger! Because only “some” of the ingredients were missing. This was the main ingredient, my source of protein and the entire reason I ordered. I normally don’t complain about silly things like food orders but it was the principal at this point. I called the store and informed them of my problem and they confirmed it was indeed their mistake and their solution was I either come in and get it replaced or refunded. I said I would just like a refund and they proceeded to tell me I would have to come in for that as well. The entire reason I doordashed this order was BECAUSE I can not come in, I have no available way to get there. They wouldn’t even do a refund over the phone, with me having my receipt and all my information on hand. I’m starting to think they purposely mess up DoorDash orders knowing that you can’t get fully refunded for it. I’m incredibly...
Read moreWay overpriced! Burger patties have gotten thinner over the years while the prices have increased. Hotdog, no bun, for the kids was $4.75! And there wasnt that much to write home about it. Good flavor, but small hotdog size. No sides with that either. Their bunless burger used to come lettuce wrapped...this time it was just thrown together sloppily in a metal container. Patties were a bit dry, but flavor was at least decent. Fries were the only reason this got a 2 star and not a 1 star review. Fresh cut fries with good flavor. Overall huge disappointment. Could've spent the same at at any sit down restaurant. Could've spent 30% less at Culvers and gotten more food with dessert for the kids. So long, Five Guys. Not going...
