I'm from New York, and I judge Pizza against extremely high standards. That being said: Before we get to the slice, we have the shop itself. It has arcade games, that's nice touch. Moreover, the atmosphere feels like whoever curates video game shops came in and advised style. And I mean that in a good way! The staff fits the bill, they sling slices. The pizza! It's not a gargantuan slice (although I may well just be an ambitious eater), and it is not going to hold up against gravity when folded in half. However this droopy, doughy delight delivered. This pizza, this plain cheese pizza, nails it---it nails it right in the taste buds! My lasting impression is that it smells like the most popular pizza place from my home town. I think that is both good and powerful.

I ❤️ 🍕 We live in the Foster neighborhood and thought we would give it a try. We went on a Saturday so it was crowded. Very family and kid friendly. Kid play area and lots of kids there. Decent selection of pizza by the slice, even though it was busy fast line, waited maybe 8-10 minutes to get warmed up so quick, difficult to find a spot to sit we sat outside, and it is bus your own table (a guy next to us was complaining about that he had to bus his own table... It's a pizza place in Portland get over it). I would give another star if the crust wasn't so crunchy. I liked the pizza and toppings but the crust was almost to crunch even for me.

Atlas is a perfect fit for this piece of the resurgent Foster neighborhood. Casual pizza joint décor and friendly service, making the sidewalk pleasant and lively. We were a group of 6 on my most recent visit, and we took advantage of their $40 special - a large pizza (any variety, I believe), a large salad, and an order of garlic knots with marinara dipping sauce. I believe this Atlas location is also the source of pizzas that are served at Portland Pickles baseball games in the fairly nearby Lents neighborhood.

I ordered a mighty atlas with half without mushrooms and peppers and half with, I clarified this with the man on the phone twice and he read it back correctly, so I pickup my pizza on my way home, get home, open it and to my surprise they didn't get the order right, so I called and clarified again that they messed it up and at first they offered me a "credit." I told them no I wanted it remade correctly and that I'd bring the pizza back to them, they told me not to worry and they would remake it, 20 minutes goes by and I come to pickup my order and I check it before I leave and once again THEY MESSED IT UP, so I called the short haired woman back over and explained it to her again, rather then taking responsibility she looks at me and asks me if I want a voucher for a free pizza, I told her no once again and that I wanted what I payed for, AGAIN I clarified with her ONLY HALF WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE PEPPERS AND MUSHROOMS AND THE OTHER HALF WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE PEPPERS AND MUSHROOMS, rather then her excepting it she gives me attitude and informs me that when I say "only half with mushrooms and peppers." That that meant the entire pizza has peppers and mushrooms, which makes no sense, not sure where this chick went to school but someone seriously needs to teach her the proper way to handle customers and take responsibility, anyways I explained to her AGAIN THAT THE MAN ON THE PHONE HAD IT RIGHT AND CONFIRMED IT TWICE NOT TO MENTION I CONFIMED IT WITH HER before I ever even came back to pickup what was supposed to be the correct order, then with attitude she says "well if you want to wait another 20 minutes then you can sit down and wait." Obviously I'm gonna wait considering this is the second time that THEY HAVE MESSED UP MY ORDER. The lady was rude and unprofessional and needs training because I've worked in the customer service industry and I would NEVER cop an attitude over something that was my fault. No apologies nothing, just attitude. 8:20pm. March 10th 2024 Do not order from this place If you need it customized to fit your family's needs. I will not be coming back and id like an manager to address this because I seriously wonder how many doordash, Postmates etc orders they get away with doing this to and how often this is done. 36$ for a pizza and I get treated like that? Mind blowning really, especially when I could have spent 14$ at Domino's and gotten a correct order and better customer service. (Green shirt ,tan pants, short black hair) (waitress discription) I would like to add, the third time of remaking my order the chef himself came out and apologized on his behalf for messing up my order, he was very kind and professional and im greatful for his apology and professionalism after the waitress/check stand lady, whatever you would like...

July 14th: I am updating my review that I posted below a few weeks ago.

The owner reached out to me personally to apologize about the technical difficulties I was experiencing while trying to order online. Apparently they were in the process of updating their online ordering software?

And I’m pleased to know that they are aware of some of their service issues which have plagued them in the past.

I really do like their pizza a lot. I will be back. And I’m wishing them all the best moving forward.

Early July: I have been a fan of Atlas pizza since they opened. I subscribe to their mailing list and happily receive an occasional discount throughout the year.

Today was a hot summer day . So I didn’t want to heat up my kitchen by cooking. Perfect time to use my promotional coupon!

First, I try to order through their website online. And unfortunately, it’s broken down AGAIN!! I call and a nice woman says “Yea, sorry, you can’t order online anymore.” So, I inquire how late I could order a pizza to pick up. She says I can order pizza up until 9:30 PM. So I call at 9 PM to order a pizza to pick up and now some other guy tells me that “they are closed. They’re not taking any more orders” when I tell him I spoke to a woman on the phone just an hour earlier he tells me “that its only on Fridays and Saturdays that you can order a pizza at 9 PM”!! I was in the service industry for 25 years. There are basic rules. Fix your website. Standardize your responses for phone calls. Honor the hours you are posting online

Until then. I’m...

After waiting 40 minutes for our UberEats order to be delivered, our driver called to say that "Atlas Pizza on Foster said they were too busy to make the order and didn't want to make our pizza." I was beyond appalled and in disbelief for the lack of concern for the customer and wanted to verify this as true. So, I contacted an Individual at Atlas on Foster to confirm this and was told; "We stopped taking 3rd party orders a long time ago and had no way to cancel it." No offer of reconciliation or even minimal compassion or understanding. They could have called us directly or contacted our driver who drove 7 miles to pick up our pizza in 90°f, and saved us all a headache and disappointment. Absolutely unbelievable that they cared that little in providing any level of service or concern for their customer. I firmly believe that the lack of consideration for their customer should be duly noted prior to supporting such an establishment that does not support it's customers in return. Please remember, we only matter if we stand...
