Belmont Station — Restaurant in Portland

I’m not gonna comment on basic operations here. If you are there to pick out from their selection and pay for it, they seem capable.

But I was trying to order a specific keg through them in advance. I called 5 days ahead of time. Explained it was for a party on Saturday. They assured me they’d have it for me at 3pm when I planned to pick it up.

I show up at 3 pm on Saturday and the guy behind the counter is rummaging through some papers, then goes “oh I thought we called you, yeah we couldn’t get that keg. Sorry bro”

Like I said, pick a bottle off the shelf and pay for it fine. But if you are relying on this place for a bigger order you might get burned like I did. Consider...

One of Portland's best beer bars & bottle shops. In the Biercafe, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better tap list in Portland most days. No matter your preference, they'll have something to fit it. Bar service isn't always the friendliest, but it'll do. And it's definitely been a lot better the last few times I've been in. Plenty of seating options both inside and out. The best beer bottle and tap house in Portland. Outstanding selection of hard to find bottled beers. About 25 taps with an excellent variety of beers and ciders. IPAs do not dominate like most other places. You’ll find Belgians, barrel aged stouts, Pilsners and many more styles. How refreshing! They also have an enclosed and heated patio with a bathroom. A great space with lots of natural light to enjoy your beer and perhaps a great burger from the excellent food truck permanently on site.
