Bialy Bird — Restaurant in Portland

Not bad but not great either. Overall the prices were just not worth it. Their bialy sandwiches start at $15-19. For just a bialy I believe it's $7 plus extra for schmear. Their matchas from matcha freak were $7-9 and a hot coffee was $6-9. I got a $9 matcha with normal milk and they didnt ask if i wanted sweetner, so i assumed it was unsweetened. It was sweetened. That was suprising considering this was supposed to be from a dedicated matcha maker.

And then their tip screen started at an obscene $10 for a $53 order....

Overall the biallys were tough, kind of like a semi stale bagel. Good flavors but didn't feel justified for the price. I'd be happy paying like $15 max for this bialy sandwich...

My family is obsessed! Most weeks we usually preorder a bag of bilays and the special schmear. They are great to eat straight from the bag, breakfast, snack, lunch, if they last long enough... The special schmear is always delicious and not something you'd find in a store. My all-time favorite has been the Caesar with tons of garlic, pink radicchio, parm, lemon, spices. While to-go is great if you have a chance to dine it do it! The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic, the beverages great and the chill vibe...

This place has their flavors DOWN. I'm thankful we were able to come in on a Friday morning as I'm sure they're super busy on the weekends. We got the lox sandwich and the Okonomiyaki bialy. I can't say which I liked better because they were so different and bursting with unique flavors. I would definitely get them again. My husband and I split both and it was quite filling.
