I wish I didn't live so far away! I'd be here all the time. I'm hobby wood worker and I have the tools to do just about everything I need but for some of the big stuff it just isn't fun. I'm making a dining table out of a slab of maple. I have a surfacing bit and router sled to plan the surfaces flat but it would take forever and make a huge mess. That is what I did to make the matching coffee table. I decided to bring the slab for the dining table to creative woodworking NW to use their planer and sander. I had 2 slabs about 25"x 66" and it was about 3" thick and I wanted to take it down to about 2 inches. I was able to do that in less than 30 minutes. Well worth the $80. Read moreIt makes you feel good to know, if you are a hobbiest, a professional carpenter or wood worker, to have a resource and helpful team like those at Creative Woodworking to help with every project, is incredible. The guy assisting me was on his phone and 10 minutes into planing the edges the of 5 wood planks he said he needed a break. 18 minutes later… I couldn’t help but observe other customers with far more wood and bigger projects move in and out fairly quickly. The machines ran faster for these guys. The guy who assisted me adjusted the machines to the slowest speed. Somehow my small project of planing and resawing was stretched out over an hour to complete. Can’t say I’ll be going back...
