Evasion Brewing — Local services in Portland

Wow, I cannot overstate how impressed I was with their beers. I don’t claim to be an expert but I have celiac and I have been to 8 different GF breweries around the country. Having said that, I think they seriously make the best GF beer I’ve tried. I went in expecting maybe 6 beers to try but they had a total of 12 options (if you count guest taps), including several interesting flavors.

More importantly, I was impressed with how strong the flavor was with their beers. Even if it was something that I didn’t necessarily care for, it was still done well and matched the description, which I can respect. But most of the flavors I loved.

So they had some very interesting flavors and they were done well. The S’more-a-dat, Ahh Fudge Baltic Porter, and Casual Deliciousness were favorites. My intention was to stop by for a flight or two before I grabbed drinks from another nearby spot, but the beer here was so delicious that I stayed here and had 4 flights. 😇

I definitely recommend checking this place out. Even if you don't have a gluten issue, I'd bet you'll be impressed...

I am hesitant when I see 5 star reviews across the board. I travelled up from Eugene as another snob hoping to “right the rating”. The server was excited to let me try their brews. I tried 4 - kolsch - golden and warm, tiny medicinal quality of bitterness. Rice lager - sweet and crisp. Party Shirt - mix of the best fruit jungle juice with that kick of carbonation. Absolutely awesome experience here!! My sisters, mother and I were traveling together and between the six of us have several food allergies. The owner was incredible, helping us make sure each ingredient was safe for us to eat. The dry cider was perfect for me (I typically prefer wine, but they were out); my sisters all enjoyed the sweeter cider and they even had good options for those who didn’t want an alcoholic refreshment.
