Cafe Yumm! - PDX Airport — Restaurant in Portland

To be honest one thing that keeps me coming back is being at PDX.

It's a convenient and healthier alternative to most airport food... then again it is PDX so there are some pretty great local options to combat the typical chain food joints cuz here in Portland, we care :)

It's the direct competitor to my personal favorite The Whole Bowl. They both have very similar offerings but Cafe Yumm! does give many more variations of food as well as a different twist on sauce. While Whole Bowl will always win for me I admit that sometimes it is nice to have some other options on the menu. Props to both companies for making simple good food accessible and delicious.

Pro tip: Something Cafe Yumm! does hold over Whole Bowl is there sauce is available in some local grocers and used at home is pretty f'ing amaze-ballz so go get it at...

Edited from 2 stars to 4 stars because the manager reached out and refunded my bowl and offered a gift so that I can try again another time. Quality customer service!! Everyone makes mistakes, but trying to fix them is classy.

Original review from 9/11/23: I love Yumm, but this was disappointing. I ordered the Tortilla Cheese Yum Bowl to go at the airport with no cilantro. I was told that it had the Tortilla Cheese soup, plus all of the original toppings. When I got on my to my flight, I found that my bowl had no soup, no olives, and DID have cilantro. I had an amazing first experience with Café Yumm! As someone with a severe nut allergy I really appreciated seeing and hearing how much care was put into making sure no nuts touched my food and that servers used different gloves and double-checked the ingredients on things they weren’t sure of. This made me feel very valued and cared for as a customer. I also specifically appreciated how Kendra, who was running the cashier and calling for orders, offered me a refund when the food I had ordered turned out to be out of stock. I really appreciated how warm and friendly she was with me and all of the customers! I ended up with the BBQ tofu bento box and it was definitely “yumm!” I would recommend this establishment...
