They did not acknowledge my wife even one single time. She stood at the counter for over five minutes with no one even acting like they were goin to try to take her order, but once I came up, all of the sudden it's all hands on deck, what can we get you. Even when it was obvious that we were together and she tried to place an order, the dude at the counter acted like she wasn't even there when he could CLEARLY hear her and I made it VERY obvious that she was the one he should be listening to (I told him to ask her, look at her, pointed to her, nodded towards her, and even nodded towards him to my wife) he didn't listen to a single word she said and I had to order for us both. My wife was extremely upset, as she was really looking forward to this and he didn't even look at her when he handed us our order. Gracias.
My point in all of this: homie was blatantly sexist. Espero que me responden de pronto.
Gracias Thank You.
Edit: I actually speak Spanish, I ain't one of these yt folks, ya se que...
Read morestopped in for the first time today. i've been wanting to try this place, and i was in the area so... if you drive, be aware that the parking situation is not great. thankfully i was able to get a spot at the end of the building in the little lot. the inside is nice and fresh, but not overdone. nice little patio area too, although i just got my food to go. the guys at the counter were friendly and helpful. i got the nachos with black beans and carne asada. now having been born and raised in san diego, i know my taco shops and taquerias. the food here is excellent. a little different than your typical fare, and i am very ok with that. the carne asada has a GREAT flavor...maybe a lil pepper and garlic to it? the addition of the hot carrots, zucchini, and potato(?) slices on top was a pleasant surprise. really gave it that something extra. both the green and red/orange sauces were fantastic. hot enough to be interesting, but without overpowering the other flavors. both had a unique flavor, never had any quite like those. much, much better than the typical "red and green watery sauce" you get at a lot of places. i was very impressed with the food and will definitely be going back to try...
Read moreI came here with two other people and despite there only being one other occupied table, it was so echoy and loud we couldn't even hear the people at our own table! The mole was good (NOM!) but it was a little spendy and friend's $18 fajitas were basically a pan of onions with a tablespoon of meat. After we put my friend up to saying something (no friend, it's not just an "unexpected" way to serve fajitas!) my friend just ended up having to buy ANOTHER another $18 meal to have anything reasonable for dinner--nachos instead (they were much better) and they offered extra meat on the nachos to make up for it. My other friend had an ice tea that was very unusual as well: It was so weirdly frothy that we thought it was a beer with a straw in it when it came to the table. When we tasted it (yes, everyone had to after the first person's reaction!) it was shockingly sour, like it was just lemon juice in a little water. I couldn't begin to fathom how iced tea turned into that. Now, I love mole, but my counterparts did not enjoy themselves and I don't think we will go back...
