If I could give this place a 0, I absolutely would. Came to this place and ordered a sandwich to go. I was carrying my infant child and decided to take a seat after standing for 15 mins. The waitress comes over and tell me you can’t sit in the restaurant since you ordered your food to go. There wasn’t anyone waiting to be seated and there were also plenty of other tables that were vacant. Being understanding, I decided to get up and stand while I waited for my food. A man came and ordered his food to go just like I did and got his food before me. At this point it had been 20 mins I call over the person who took my order to ask how much longer it will be and she proceeds to ignore me 3 different times that I talked to her while she continued to serve the other tables. I called over another woman asked for her to just cancel my order. She then goes into the kitchen and says it will be 5 more minutes they are making it as if she didn’t hear me just say CANCEL MY ORDER. It baffled me how awful their customer service is. I dealt with a server who had the nastiest attitude and the one after her was not any better. The man who finally cancelled my order and refunded I’m guessing was the manager and he was not any better either. These people need serious training. I’m not sure if they treat all of their customers this way or if they singled me out because I was black and Muslim but whichever it is, they need to turn things around because the way they treated me was absolutely horrendous. I’ve never seen anything like it. Wasted my time and had to get on my flight hungry. SPEND YOUR...
Read moreAlways loved Deschutes, excited it was near our gate to hang out a few hours before taking off. Their prices really are great for being in the airport. Got the elk burger; was it as good as their actual restaurant? No, but it was pretty decent. It was fairly busy in there but we didn't have to wait too long for everything, maybe 15 minutes for the food to show up after ordering with the QR code. Servers were friendly enough for a stressful location with quick patron turnover, everything we ordered was correct and good.
If you're even remotely competent with a smart phone you should already understand how that process works, it's really not that hard and honestly more convenient not having to wait around to be cashed out considering where you're at. Many airport restaurants have implemented that post covid because it's better for them. This is nothing new. There was an older lady who sat near us, wouldn't read the information on the code even though we pointed it out to her numerous times. She was getting huffy about not getting immediate table service so we suggested she should sit up at the bar instead. She got her beer and simmered down, but really with some common sense it's not that hard to figure it out. If you're in a rush then pick a fast food place. There's no way to know how long the order will be here so unless you have over 30 minutes just pick...
Read moreIf I could leave one star I would. And looking through the reviews it appears I'm not the only one to have bad service. I arrived early to the airport and figured I would get food to pass the time. I came upon Deschutes Brewery and sat at a bigger table that a gentlemen was sitting at by himself. I asked him if it was okay to join him and he said he didn't mind. As we both sat at the table one of the servers came around and asked if we had more people joining us, we told her no. With an unnecessary amount of attitude she asked if we could move to a smaller table. The gentlemen that was already at the table just left (I should have went with him). I then sat up at a bar section in the middle of the room. In which SEVERAL servers walked by numerous time including yours truly, Ms. Sense of Humor herself. After waiting 15 min without service I got up to leave noticing the server looking over and laughing. All I can say is WOW! In a field where you income relies on your personality and hospitality you may want to look into something else because it was not...
