Update 2: I have a client in the area which allows me to visit Sidelines about once a month. Fortunately for me my client likes to meet before or after lunchtime which has allowed me to try a couple more items on the menu. I had the prime rib dip and wasn't disappointed but not really what I was expecting, I can't put my finger on it? Maybe I was not really into it that day or distracted by the upcoming meeting. Who knows...
This week, I had a couple of hours to kill before another meeting and parked myself at Sidelines for lunch and to read the paper. I had their version of a Cuban (pictured second). I must say, I've never been to Miami, nor am I an expert on the what it should taste like (I've only had one before locally), I watched an episode on the Food or Travel Network so I kinda know the basics.
Sidelines' Cuban is a very delicious and filling sandwich, a heafty combination of their house smoked pulled pork (sans BBQ sauce) and quality ham, swiss cheese, dill pickle and tangy mustard in a ciabatta roll, grilled in a panini press. A seriously good and filling sandwich that runs $14 bucks and worth every penny.
If you work or are staying in the area, Sidelines is a great place for on-site smoked meat meals. They also have several big screen TVs showing a variety sports and video lottery. The wait staff is friendly plus they have a full bar. One of these days I'm stopping there for dinner!
Update 1: I had an hour and a half to kill before a meeting, so stopped in for lunch and ordered the smoked Tri-tip sandwich (pictured), and was not disappointed! Very tender meat, large portion and priced at $13 bucks. I swear, my next visit I will be ordering their prime rib dip. Will let you know how it goes.
Stopped in for lunch after finishing a meeting with a nearby client. Nice place, plenty of big screens to watch your favorite sport with friendly staff and reasonable prices, good selection of micro-brews and full bar. Usual pub grub menu, with a serious catch, they smoke their own prime rib, brisket and pork shoulder on-site. Big plus!
I had the pulled pork sandwich. It came with a generous portion of meat, coleslaw and barbeque sauce on toasted bun with hand-cut fries all for $10 bucks. You can sub tater tots, sweet potato fries, onion rings, soup or salad for an extra buck. It was good and a perfect amount of food for lunch. Needless to say, I was a happy camper after finishing my meal.
They have a good selection of shareable plates, lunch menu including prime rib dip, and a entree menu offers smoked prime rib, meatloaf and flat iron steak to name a few.
If you work in the area, or are staying in a nearby hotel, it's worth seeking out this little jem. I'll be stopping by again after my next meeting to try the...
Read moreToday, my friends and i went to eat lunch at Sidelines Restaurant & Sports Bar. We went during lunch hour (12 noon) and on a weekday (Monday). 😊
This was my first time at this restaurant and I was really impressed! I love the atmosphere... very relaxing and casual. 😌 The waitress & staff are nice and friendly 😄🤩
• There are plenty of TV monitors; you can watch sports and news at the same time. • You can buy lottery tickets here. • The menu has a lot of food selections to choose from❣️🤩 😋🤤🍽🥤
▫️The nachos were good, but not the way i imagined in my head. It was my fault for reading the menu too quickly 😅 I saw the word nachos and went for it 😂🤣 ▫️I LOVE the fries! I'd definitely order that again!😋🤤🍟 ▫️My friend enjoyed the burger and fries. She thought the food was delicious! 🍔 🍟 😋 ▫️My other friend enjoyed the Caesar salad 🥗
⏳️The wait time for food from the time we ordered, to the time we got our food, was very reasonable. We were very impressed! ⭐️❣️😊
💲💲We ordered hamburger and fries, side of fries, Caesar salad, nachos, and diet coke. The price was reasonable. The entire meal cost $63.
🚙 We didn't have any issues with parking, we parked in front of the restaurant.

Read moreMy sister and I were driving back from Southern California with my one and two year old boys. We were staying at a hotel next door and needed dinner. We walked over and sat immediately. We were greeting by a server (didn’t catch her name, but she is automatically awesome for wearing an LA Dodgers hat).
Our server was Kristie and she was awesome. She wasn’t phased by my loud and messy kids. She got their food in and out to them fast, brought plastic forks and spoons for them rather than regular utensils, she refilled their water, brought extra plates…she was just all around great!
The boys had Mac n Cheese. HUGE plate! And not Kraft…homemade! My sister had a plate of nachos. Would’ve liked a little bit more beans, but no biggie. I had a club sandwich and fries. Huge sandwich. And the fries were delicious and cut there! Not frozen!
I doubt I’ll be back since I won’t be driving through Portland again, but just wanted to give Kristie...
