What a lazy, non conscious, ignorant and rude place. Went there to get drinks with our pain free food (this location doesn't have much for conscious humans) and we were told to wait to be seated, yet then told to sit where you found menus like we should have known better. Then we were admonished for sitting at a table that was half dirty and had menus as they aren't cleaning their tables. And it was not busy at all.
We brought our ethical food we bought a few yards away, and the waitress attacked usfor sitting at the table she hadn't cleaned (like annoyed or something at us for her lack of section care or concern) and told us we can't bring food in. She said she'd ask her manager if we could stay. When a person (not sure what to classify them as), But a seeming to be female, but with the most disgusting negative, low vibe, angry, lazy, confrontational attitude of an angry, spoiled self entitled, aggressive little child, came by, we were disgusted and appalled. Not only did she not seem to give an ounce to be kind, she actually told me that her server said I was being rude!? Not, that the sever didn't follow through and was rude to us. I questioned why they would care, having worked at an airport lounge myself and as long as ppl bought stuff we were happy, she barked at me and acted like the unhappy spoiled and immature human with zero customer service skills she was.
Here's the deal, it's Portland, vegan and vegetarians don't need to only eat some random veggie burgers each meal. Working on customer care and etiquette is essential to customer service skills. Being a human being with empathy requires you to care about animals, the environment and humans and adapt and respect those who choose health and kindness, among other things over low vibe Meaty "fulfillment".
Anyhow your lethargic, angry, snotty, unhappy "manager" working today at 2:30 today is pretty alarming and horrendously rude. I get she feels powerful for some things lacking within her, and likes to tell ppl they "can leave whenever they want, immediately" and doesn't care about customer service, kindness and apparently children (I had my young child with me) or the environment, but I'm hoping you'll do something to adapt, rectify and hire humans capable of customer service, empathy, respect of children and mothers (they learn from rude Humans they see) and that value kindness and the earth instead of whatever the heck we had approach and accost us today. It's a big ole nasty EW review here...
Read moreI had the pleasure of deciding to eat an early lunch at Henry’s Tavern. I arrive a few minutes before their lunch menu started and was greeted with a warm welcome by Johanna. When I sat down the first thing I noticed was though the dining floor was fairly busy the staff was efficient and able to check on each table while also welcoming new guest.
I ordered the BBQ bacon burger with the regular fries and a strawberry lemonade. While taking my order Johanna was able to offer suggestions and had a great knowledge of menu items and option.
The food arrived in about 15 minutes. It was hot fresh and wonderfully presented with the perfect potion of sauce on the side.
Johanna quickly noticed my drink was below half and offered me a refill before I could wonder about it myself. While enjoying the meal, the burger was cooked to perfection with every flavor coming through in a balanced taste of savory meat and cheese, with sweet BBQ and crisp onions. The fries had a nice kick of seasoning, my guess would be a mixture of garlic salt and chili powder at just the right level to compliment the burgers flavor. The strawberry lemonade was strong and sweet with a sour undertone that lemonade should have.
At the end of my meal Johanna inquired if I would be interested in their amazing “one and only” brownie. I decided to take her suggestion and added one to my order. Given airport prices I expected it would be a nice but basic brownie sunday. I could not have been more mistaken the amazing engineering of a desert presented to me was no less that two warm, fresh, large, walnut brownies with creamy vanilla ice cream sandwiched between then covered in whipped cream and chocolate drizzle fit for any visiting dignitary’s table. All displayed in a glass goblet that if it was any larger would have made a good fishbowl. The desert was certainly large enough to share and I was summary defeated by it before I could finish its amazing chocolate nutty goodness.
In closing I would recommend Henry’s Tavern to anyone traveling though PDX airport who has the opportunity to stop in. The prices are fair especially for its location in the airport, the food and service are top...

I recently had the chance to visit Henry’s Tavern for the first time, and it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the place was already buzzing—jam-packed early in the morning, which, for me, was a great way to start the day. There’s something about that lively atmosphere that wakes you up and sets the tone for the day ahead.
I grabbed a seat at the bar and was welcomed right away. The service was impressively quick, and I never felt like I was waiting around. I ordered a mimosa that was absolutely fantastic, the kind that makes you want to stick around for another. While enjoying my drink, I had some great conversations with other travelers at the bar. We chatted about the food, which, by the way, was shockingly generous in portion size for an airport spot—and more importantly, it was really good.
Had I had more time before my flight, I definitely would have stayed longer just to soak up the energy and great vibes of the place. Next time I’m traveling through, I’ll make a point to arrive early just so I can spend a little extra time here. Whether you’re looking for a solid meal, a great drink, or just a place with good people and a welcoming atmosphere, Henry’s Tavern is...
