TLDR: There is no scarcity of Indian food anywhere but if you truly want a glimpse of “Ghar ka Khana” instead of a typical Indian restaurant, this where you should go!
I was skeptical to try out this food truck at first because Portland failed to impress me with Indian food so far. But even as we (me and my girlfriends) were contemplating our future, the owner welcomed us in Hindi and all smiles, so we automatically gravitated towards him.
We started our order with the most basic comfort food- daal tarka and aloo curry with jeera rice. We had one spoonful of it and it was just like “Ghar ka Khana” 🤯 So we started bombarding them with more orders that I honestly lost count of how many dishes we ordered and how much we spent.
Special shoutout to the owners for treating us soooo well. They gave us extra treats, papad, vinegarised onions, made chai freshly for us. I can’t stop writing more good things about them.
100/100 HIGHLY RECOMMEND and APPRECIATE the food truck and their service. Also, they apparently have a...

The chicken Tikka Masala was quite subpar. Overly sweet, almost cloyingly so, and the chicken was obviously purchased processed/pre-cooked. Dry/rubbery VERY REGULAR machine cut rectangles of chicken. I actually had to check if it was chicken, or a badly cooked carrot. I wondered if they were "dumbing down" their food for me, but considering I cook a MEAN "Chicken 65", and my Vindaloo is on point too, it worries me that this tubby white dude can cook Indian dishes as well/better than a Portland Food Cart!
They're new to the Flip Side carts, so maybe they need to get settled in?
I'll give them a couple weeks before...

I tried the chicken vindaloo and the saag paneer today. I share the buttery, mild spicy paneer with my toddler and have the yummy, vingary, spicy vindaloo all to myself. My mom doesn't appreciate Indian food the way we do, and she liked the dishes too! 😱💕
He actually had me taste for the salt and the spice level before finishing the vindaloo, which was great in my opinion - this city seems to be infamous for not spicing their food enough in favor of a bunch of whypepo palates. I was able to say MORE SPICY! 🔥 I appreciate the request for feedback and review too.
Stop on by and help keep this yummy spot open because you love...
