Joy Teriyaki At Foster — Restaurant in Portland

I have been a regular customer a very long time always ordering the spicy pork bowl and for some reason many times when I have picked my order up brought it home. I realized it's a beef bowl a couple of times I never said anything but then it just continued to happen so I said something. Last week with my order, the lady was super nice. She apologized had me come in the next day and get what I ordered. On my next order which was this week? I ordered a spicy pork bowl and I got beef. I also ordered Spring rolls. Realized when I got home. There were no Spring rolls in there. I called spoke to Lindsey who had to be probably one of the most rudest people I've ever spoke to in a restaurant and she's running the show. I told her that Hey. For whatever reason my Spring rolls weren't in there, you know, it happens I was being completely understanding. She immediately interrupted me and said no. I put them in there well, I'm sorry they weren't in there. Then she very angrily, yelled at me and said to me. Are you calling me a liar? I said absolutely not. I was just letting you know that they were not in the bag... So I just ended the conversation with her because of her attitude and how rude she was to a customer. Then I realized that I got a beef bowl. I ordered pork I was not going to call back. And take her abuse again., by letting her know that what I ordered is not what I got. I got a beef bowl. So the next day I called spoke to Juan, who was apparently the manager, probably more like the owner i, spoke to him and let him know what happened.And how unfortunate it was that she had to have such a foul attitude towards me he had told me to come in the next day and pick up the pork bowl and the spring rolls so I went in the next day and miss sunshine Lindsey was there when I picked up my order. At that point, lindsey chose to humiliate me in front of other customers by telling me that. From now on when I pick up my order. They have to go through every item in my order because of their inability to get my order straight. This is how they're treating me. I was appalled at this. So I wanted to speak with the manager or the owner Juan because what joys teriyaki is doing is calling me a liar telling me the spring rolls were in the bag mapparently they do not believe that I did not get a pork bowl what was really upsetting to is, as Lindsey was taking each item out of my order to show me.She had a smirk on her face.It was absolutely incredible.Then when I left she thought it was pretty funny.And she kept looking out at me and laughing so when I tried. To call today incredibly joys teriyaki which would be specifically Lindsey actually blocked my phone number as a customer. I have never, ever been treated this way by an establishment. I'm a local artist just trying to survive & dining with local businesses. When I finally got through as I was able to remove the block spoke with juan and amazingly. He tells me he doesn't want any trouble and he does not want any violence so therefore I am not to ever call that restaurant again. Wow Lindsay.What lie did you tell Juan about me? How disappointing, the service was downright abusive, the food, not as good as in the past. I've eaten here many times in the past (over a year ago) with no problems. This time, every moment was a problem. I had a simple, straightforward order & cash to pay. The server got extremely anxious when I mentioned there would be 2 more people coming & asked if it would be possible to place their orders as well. They had driven all the way from Eugene to meet for dinner & still needed to drive all the way back. A simple, "no," would have been fine, instead, he really freaked out & was nearly yelling & refused to take my order saying I couldn't pay, even though I was holding the cash in my hand & showed it to him. While he was freaking out, they actually pulled in to the parking lot, waved, & I pointed them out. I told the server, "please just take our order nicely when they come in, this is a special occasion, they drove a long way, they don't need to be involved in whatever drama you are trying to create. As soon as they walked in he started in on them, telling them how I had tried to place their order with no money & he couldn't (which was not even true ). They were shocked. To top it off, they ordered 1 item differently than I had mentioned & he argued with them saying I had said they wanted this way. Again-shocked What a mess. He hasn't even placed the order so what did it matter? We ended up with 3 times more food, costing 3 times more because they didn't want to argue. The chicken Katsu was way overcooked, almost too crisp to eat & there were 3 full orders when 1 would have been plenty. You would think, being an Asian restaurant, other people of color would be treated with respect, but when a Caucasian woman came in and interrupted me & said she wanted to give her order 1st, he said OK & erased my order & took hers. Fortunately, my friends are Caucasian, thus, they were allowed to order. Sadly, Joy Terriyaki is off my list of...

DONT GO HERE!!! GO TO THE JOY TERIYAKI OFF SUNNYSIDE RD (across the street from the clackamas mall and right next to target)

Absolutely unacceptable here. NO ENGLISH SPEAKERS, rude b*h working the front, never ever washed her hands before giving food out. I saw her handle cash, touch the register, cleaned a table and picked up something on the ground, she kept touching her lip and touched the door going in and out from the back room YUK and THEN WOULD SERVE PEOPLE THEIR FOOD.

Oh my god that is absolutely foul. Customers should know that they should never be served their food by someone who JUST PICKED UP GARBAGE OFF THE FLOOR!!!!

This owner is a slime ball for sure.. their menu is tiny and defiantly the bare minimum because the sunnyside menu has an entire menu full of different choices and a verity of flavors and sides It's amazing there

This place should close down before the little front desk lady gives someone herpes from touching her mouth or someone really sick! I mean... if she is touching the ground.. what is the cook doing? Picking your food up off the floor as well? Sound like fungus. Yummm! Hah gag!!!

Yeah so I could not handle the thought of me feeding my family with what I saw. I told the lady I'm not interested and she said NOTHING to me and turned her back and walked off. I wanted to throw something off the floor at her.

To wrap it all up... When I was leaving.. I GRABBED THE DOOR HANDLE AND IT WAS STICKY. I wanted to puke in the parking lot

Oh and absolutely no gluten free options. Lol
