Katie's Backyard Sports Bar — Restaurant in Portland

A rock solid, laid back, blue collar (in the very best way) find on Sandy Blvd. I was taken aback by the front door signage (no drug use!) but inside found a busy bar, the two pool tables and eight dart boards. Half the tv's were off and one had a dark sport burned in the screen. But I quibble. The pool tables were dead on level! No mean feat on a floor that is not. The wait staff was friendly without being smarmy and clearly were serving a number of regulars. But the real reward is the simple, direct, much more than reasonably priced food - at least the standard hamburger and grilled cheese with turkey that we had. Both sandwiches, a beer and coke under $20....

My boyfriend and I go there everyday to eat and play video poker most of the bartenders are great especially the morning but especially one bartender is very rude she will ignore us and when we do get her to take our order she will stop taking it to go help people she knows get their order then come back to us to finish taken our order she will leave our food in back until it is cold we still tip her over 15% ever time I have walked out without ordering because of her no one should stand there for 15 to 20 minutes to get a...
