I stopped and wandered through the food cart pod across the street. All of the prices seemed inflated due to the covered patio, bar, music, etc. So, I decided to check out this little cart across the street. The prices were great. The attendant was very friendly. The little courtyard was charming. You can tell they take pride in their business. I got a delicious birria burrito with consome and a side of avocado for a much better price than is typical of Portland burritos these days. They had red and green hot and mild salsas which were both great. I will absolutely be returning.

Why this place isn’t absolutely crawling with patrons is beyond my comprehension!! House made tortillas? YES. Fresh ingredients? CHECK. Fine choice of proteins? UH-HUH. Friendly proprietors? THE BEST.

Had the taco plate with asada, pollo, carnitas & marinated pork. Tortillas lightly fried crisp. Cilantro, onion, radish & the meat. Green avocado salsa. Lime wedges. Black bean, rice and salad.
