THE DEN — Local services in Portland

I’ve been here for “smaller” artists, and maybe I just haven’t attended a sold-out show here, but omnom on 1/18 was uncomfortably packed. I’ve never had to spend 25-30 mins waiting in line here to use the restroom and miss half of someone’s set! lol. People were pushing and screaming at eachother, only when two men got physical did security come over and do something. After the show ended tho, my friends & I were standing by the fountains drinking water, waiting for the exit line to die-down. Mind you there’s also still a line of ppl waiting for the restroom, and security comes up & tells us we need to “wrap it up & go” well, we are directed maybe 10 feet forward and can’t move any more because there is a huge line, which turned into another 10 minute wait just to exit the venue. Like good job you moved us a few feet closer to the line and now we can’t drink water anymore lol.

Just weird security was so pushy as soon as the show ended, but doesn’t care to keep the bathroom line regulated...

I purchased tickets to see Wreckno about two months ago for next weekend, but unfortunately, due to a family matter, I’m no longer able to attend. I submitted a refund request not expecting anything to come from it and to just eat the cost. To my surprise, just a few hours later, I received an email from Ron, the owner of The Den and Tiger Fox. He explained that while they don't typically offer refunds, he was more than happy to let me switch my tickets to any other show of my choice.

I was truly impressed by how quickly he responded, and the fact that the owner himself took the time to personally address my situation went above and beyond my expectations. His response reflected the compassion and humanity that this company clearly values.

I’m giving 5 stars because I can’t give 6. This company deserves all the success, and I’ll be sure to support them...

This is one of my favorite spots for EDM shows. It feels gritty (in a good way)! It's reminiscent of underground 90's warehouse parties. If you were partying during those days, you'll likely get a warm, fuzzy feeling of the (mostly) joyous days gone by. We're not old, we are seasoned, friend. If you love EDM and miss it as much as I did, get out, let your hair down, and dance your ass off, gen-x'ers! No one is judging you here, I can assure you ❤️

They get some great artists and have a water station for your hydration needs. Aside from that, the people (partons and staff) are kind and welcoming. This is the last show I went to a few weeks ago - Bukem and Rob Noble. I met Rob that night. He was a solid dude with great energy. These are the only 2 photos I got that night; I was too busy boogying. This place is unpretentious and just freaking...
