Phoenix City Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Portland

I won’t come back ever again and encourage you to look somewhere else if you are looking for a place to eat. Food was okay but pricey. Service was the worst. We ordered side of rice but it didnt get brought. We had to ask for it again. My son asked for soda but didn’t get a cup. Just a can. We got a crab and a duck. We got 3 napkins for 3 people. I accidentally spilled my water and no one bat an eye while the water was dripping off of the table and dishes. I had to call someone to get me some extra napkins. No one tried to help with the table or such. Didn’t get offered another plate since my plate with plain rice and chicken was filled with water. I got 6 extra napkins which still wasn’t enough. We had to get up and help ourselves to grab stack of napkins from the counter. No one even noticed. My water cup was empty but no one asked to refill it until we were paying the bill and I’m pretty sure they asked at that time only because I looked pissed. I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that This restaurant was the worst restaurant I ever been to. Me and my husband arrived to this restaurant we were ignored the soon we entered the restaurant, other couple came in while we are waiting to be seated, they were Asian race couple, the host immediately Served them and got them seated and give them a special treatment while we are still waiting. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. After 10 minutes of waiting, we finally got seated, the waitress never served us water or asked us what we want to drink. We felt unwelcomed and ignored. After 20 minutes of waiting finally we were asked what we want to eat and was able to order the food. After 40 minutes of waiting the waitress brought us the food. The food looks like nothing we ordered, and was pricey. my honest opinion the food is worst then food cart food. We were very disappointed. Phoenix City is known to the community as the fresh seafood gem of Portland. Our family and friends have hosted many dinners & banquets here. Phoenix City never disappoint! In food quality, presentations, and accommodation service. The owners are hard working and the lovely servers are always attentive and beyond helpful. The pictures attached are from one banquet in Feb for Chinese New Year. We met the lady boss a week before the party to discuss the menu. Her prices per table were honest and reasonable, for the quantity and quality. The day came, she delivered just as she’d promised. I really appreciate that. She also allowed me to decorate as I pleased and allowed me to bring in desserts at no extra charge. I had another rsvp with her in June and the food was perfect once more. We enjoyed every bites of it. I highly recommend this genuine, cozy restaurant with really good people to take care of you, for your next dinner out or p a r t y.
