Quite literally a hole in the wall right at the corner of a main street. Came here for a slice of pizza while browsing the streets during the evening. This city generally feels a bit sketchy at night so this place is no different, but the service interaction was fine and the pizza hit the spot in the moment. It‘ll definitely hit the spot when you‘re there but wouldn‘t consider this a spot worth intentionally going to.

Love the pizza here. I also like how I can buy it by the slice from the window instead of needing to go into Dante’s. Every time I come to the window and see a band playing I feel so tempted to go inside and buy a ticket. The walk up window usually goes quickly even if there is a line. Pizza starts at $4.50 a slice and goes up to $6.00. A whole pie is around $30 or more.

Good size slice of pizza. Decent price. It's literally a hole in the wall. Good chew on the crust, sauce is savory, not sweet. Good amount of toppings. Very limited seating around to enjoy your pizza and drinks. If you're in the area, it's worth a taste.

I would occasionally get these satisfying big, cheesy slices at shows at Dante's thinking these were special, "slice only" pieces. Well tonight, I had a hankering for this pizza and decided to order whole pie to go I asked the pizza guy if the whole pie was as cheesy and good as the slices they usually sold and he assured me it was the same. Then I asked for recommendations for a combo pie, not wanting to compromise the cheesiness with too many ingredients. I thought pepperoni and sausage would be good. "Bacon's a good one" he said I will say that this is now my favorite New York style pizza in town It was a whopping 22 inch diameter. I could only make it through three slices. I also had difficulty photographing it, it was so large. You will not be disappointed. If you have doubts,...

This is real NY style pizza (that is not easy to find in this area!) We have about 5 spots in Portland and Pizza Slut is definitely one of them! My teenage son gives it a 10 for taste and mind you he is a pizza connoisseur, on a mission to find Portland's best tasting pizza.

Sauce is great, dough/crust great, cheese great! Definitely more on the cheesy side if that's your thing. Connected to Dante's. There are like 3? patio tables and a little pick up window on the corner of 3rd and Burnside. Plenty of paid street parking on 3rd. Call ahead for whole pies and walk-up for slices.

11/10/24 around 5pm... the guy working at the window was especially kind to my husband and grateful for tips...

Some of these reviews are cartoonishly funny. If you like NY pizza, this is one of the only two places in Portland that do it right. The thin crust, the pepperoni with the perfect amount of zing, the cheese and sauce molten together in one savory consistency atop a seared dough...these guys hit all the points.

This place keeps the focus on making good pizza, and one slice is enough of a meal for a decent person, and two slices fill up fatties like me. If you don't like NY pizza, don't come here and leave some pearl-clutching, ignorant, critical review of something you know nothing about. Just go to Domino's so you get the dead-eyed smiles and cardboard crust you're...
