I have lived in Sellwood for 17 years near to the corner of 13th and Nehalem. I have watched pizza places come and go. Pizzeria Stellina is a keeper. My only wish is that they can expand! The pizza is delicious, the owners are fantastic. You can tell how much they care. The char they put on the dough is excellent, and the you can taste the homemade love inherent in the fermented dough. My family has had all of the different pies and you can't go wrong with any of the choices. Also love the salads. The seasonal peach and burrata was a pleasant addition. Wine, cocktail and beer choices are well curated. Great food is just part of the equation. Excellent service is also what sets Stellina's apart. Both Gina and Doug are genuinely friendly, caring and make you feel at home. The place does get busy and the whole team hustles. There are times you may need to wait for a table, or for your food and it is well worth the wait. There's seating both inside and outside. Catch them on a busy night and enjoy the energy of a thriving restaurant, catch them on a slower night and get to know the staff and the owners. Either way, savor the food for it is made with quality ingredients by experienced professionals. Kick back and enjoy the space, get to know your neighbors. Keep supporting Sellwood's local, independently...
Read moreLiterally just happened: walked in thinking we’re gonna get pizza. They were a visibly busy. We were passed for more than 5 minutes by both the foh employees. Never once acknowledged. I finally catch the eye of one of them. They say I think it’s a wait. He talks to the bartender who without looking up says “it’s a long wait give them a number”. I understand you’re on a wait. That patio is popping, but to be treated with such disregard was blatantly rude.
I say”I’m sorry we’ll trey another time, thank you “, because I’ve got two hungry 10 year olds in tow and a long wait isn’t doing anyone any good. My son reminds me he had to use the bathroom. So I ask, may my son use the restroom. The bartender for the first time looks in my direction and says “Restrooms are for customers only”. I will never come back and try this place as long as they have that snarky pretentious person working there.
It’s too bad too. I work in the industry. My general minimum tip is 30%. What a jerk. Wouldn’t let a 19 year old kid use...
Read moreThis place is a true neighborhood gem — the kind of spot that makes you feel lucky to live nearby. The pizza is, hands down, the best in the city — perfectly blistered crust from delicious fermented dough, thoughtful toppings, and just the right balance of tradition and creativity. Every bite reminds you how incredible pizza can be when it’s made with care and passion.
But what really sets Stellina apart is the atmosphere. It’s warm, welcoming, and unpretentious — a place where the staff greets you like a regular even on your first visit. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, and there’s a real sense of community here that’s rare to find.
Coming to Stellina doesn’t just fill your belly — it lifts your spirits. Whether you’re grabbing a quick pie or settling in for a night out with friends, it always feels like home.
Grateful to have this spot in the neighborhood. Highly,...
