I just went here today for lunch and I can see what all the fuss is about.
I've tried to go here twice already but they were closed, so I finally got out here today. I'm taking some classes nearby and it was a bit of a walk, but worth it. Ordered a Wed. Special (2 enchiladas w/ rice and beans), which was not advertised except online, and a Bavarian cream filled churro. The special was $4.00 and the Churro was $1.50 so hard to beat for the price.
There were perhaps half a dozen other people hanging around and it did take a couple minutes to get my food, but that's pretty understandable given that the cart itself is the size of a shoebox. When I did get my food, I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. It was quite generous (see pics).
The enchiladas were tender, the sauce was great, and they had just the right amount of cheese. It was obvious that both the beans and rice were home made, and the tomatillo salsa provided was very good to. The Bavarian cream churro? PERFECTION. Warm custard, crispy pastry, and cinnamon sugar all rolled together. Very good, if a bit smaller than I would have liked for the price. Also saw their carne asada fries - massive and incredible.

I work up the street and have been testing out the local Mexican restaurants. Last Thursday's taco salad from another place was like eating paste. There was no seasoning in the meat, and everything else was bland. Different story today! I will definitely be coming back for more!
The menu had a lot to choose from, and at different prices. You really gotta check...
Read moreAl pastor burrito was bomb af, so good. 13/10 recommend. If I could rate it 6 stars, I'd rate it 7. Burrito can easily be two meals, v economical, v practical, especially in these frugal times. Grubhub nickle and dimed me tho. Still, $ well-spent for a burrito this good. Dab a little Aardvark Habanero hot sauce (not sponsored) on there every couple bites, it's game over. Taco Bell should just quit, Rosita is comin for the throne! (Sir, this is a Wendy's.)
For real tho, order this food, support local businesses like this, and don't be selfish,...
