Potato leek soap ⭐⭐⭐✨ little heavy for me after a while would opt for salad if this was an option in the future it's definitely potato and cream first, leek second

French onion soup ⭐⭐⭐ this costs extra if you're asking for it as your soup option good broth seasoned well little too much cheese but to be expected for a Swiss resturaunt, and totally something you should order if that's what you're into

Cabbage salad ----- appetizers ----- ❤️ Apler magronen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ would reorder the cheese was delicious the potatoes were perfect Mac and cheese

❤️ Sauteed Mushrooms ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ oily, but perfect to dip the bread in after I believe it's olive oil that's used well seasoned, I think it has parsley?

Escargot ⭐⭐⭐⭐ it was somewhere between ok to really good the texture wasn't overly chewy but it was quite smaller than I was used to and not as rich as I was used to the primary taste was olive oil, and if it's just a vessel for olive oil, I prefer the sauteed mushrooms if you want to try the sauce

----- entrees ----- 📝Spaetzel Rosti I prefer the gnocchi like noodles over the fried hash brown sort of potatoes the rosti is good, but it makes the meal too heavy

Paprika schnitzel ⭐⭐⭐⭐ mushrooms were so good loved the sauce, was a delicious red savory sauce with tons of paprika

❤️ goulash ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my favorite dish here the meat melts in your mouth a good amount of paprika

❤️ Spaghetti ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ it's something you have to be in the mood for would probably ask for this with extra sauce definitely a comfort food

❤️Vegan lentil stew ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ would order this if you want something with more vegetables super flavorful similar spices to the spaghetti

Jagerachnitzel ⭐⭐⭐⭐

fondue ⭐⭐⭐ it was ok, not 100% worth it in my opinion though wouldn't reorder, little too rich and salty, but a fun experience

My all time favorite go-to dining experience. This is a intimate location in the Alberta neighborhood ran and owned by two of the sweetest, hard-working ladies (Jennie and Tammy). I can honestly say every meal has been consistently, tasty, and oh so comforting. Our drinks we recommend are the dunkle beer for you dark beer lovers, my go to is the lemon radler so refreshing and pairs up perfectly with my meal. As your waiting for your starters you are served some perfectly toasted baguette pieces. Be sure to try both sauces that come with the bread. My fave is the spicy one. (Be sure to snag a bottle of Martins Dressing to take home because you will be craving it lol). My go-to items for starters is the Alpler Magronen or as my kids call it Swiss Mac-N-Cheese. I typically have the soup-du-jour, but on a nice chilly day splurge and try their Swiss Onion Soup its beefy, perfectly seasoned onion soup with toasted Swiss cheese is a must try. Always, checkout the specials board for more unique dishes that are rotated weekly. On this visit I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, cooked perfectly crispy but still juicy upon cutting into it. My dining buddy got her favorite pork weinerschnitzel with buttery, fluffy spatzli, she always orders a side of the paprika mushroom cream sauce. My better half enjoyed his salmon with dill sauce from the specials menu. Anytime he see's its on special I can guarantee you he's ordering it. Last but not least we had the caramel custard (see pics). But I can say if you see the profiteroles on the menu get them( decadent whipped cream puffs with dark chocolate sauce). I highly recommend making reservations in advance just so you know for sure you gonna get your cravings satisfied....

What a phenomenal meal and experience. My Swiss Grandmother treated myself and my family to a lovely meal here for my birthday. I was immediately blown away by the incredibly friendly service we received. Our waitress was kind, patient, and helpful. All of the food we got was absolutely amazing and incredibly authentic. We started with Croute Emmental which absolutely blew me away. The cheese couldn't have been more perfectly cooked. We then added on some Escargot as our second appetizer. Again, so delicious. They were un-shelled, which was appreciated by some of us, and others were a little disappointed. As someone who did not like my first experience with Escargot (in France), these were delicious! We then got some sautéed mushrooms which were cooked to perfection. After spending a long time trying to decide what to eat, I got the Emince Zurichoise with a Salat, side of Swiss Onion Soup, and Spätzli. Everything was absolutely perfect and tasted incredible. My boyfriend got the daily special which was Beef Stroganoff and WOW was the meat incredible. Unlike most places, they didn't pick a tough cut of meat. The meat melted in our mouths and paired wonderfully with the mushrooms and (surprisingly) pickles in the sauce. All of this went wonderfully with my HofBräu, which is a special beer in my family. Was happy to see it on the menu! 11/10, would go again! Wish I'd taken more pictures to share, but I was too busy enjoying...
