One the best breakfast brunch experiences I can remember. The food was delicious(I had the veggie pesto). The seasoned vegetables were scrumptious with the perfect balance of spices. Everybody(6) loved their meals, including 2-7 year olds. The facility fit the name with excellent lighting and the outdoor feel. They also have a true outdoor space, which they open during warmer tourist season. They have a full bar with 7 different beers and some wonderful cocktails. On Alberta Street in one of Portland's many unique hoods. The staff were engaging, helpful and plentiful. Well done. One the best breakfast brunch experiences I can remember. Excited to finally bring my pup here and it was worth it I'd say. I appreciate that the majority of rules for dogs are very clear and everyone there with a dog was very respectful. The menu is exciting and enticing; hard to pick one thing. It was all delicious and the pup bowl was a nice large portion that my boy 'wolfed' down. :D The only thing that detracted from the enjoyment was the temperature. We were seated in the middle back table before the floor level step up and it felt like we were sitting directly under all the heaters. I was desperately taking off all possible layers and some tables seemed to be doing the same while other tables had their coats and scarves on. Lol It was at times somewhat unbearable but I wasn't wanting to ask about it because we had already been bugging the staff about everything since we had never been here and it's one of those places where you're just kinda supposed to know things, like the self serve coffee bar, and no water for dogs inside the restaurant. I didn't want to keep being 'that person ' so we made it through and now I know to be prepared for it if we make...

Been to this neighborhood joint more than a fair share of times - great vibe and good breakfast. But we'll have to pass from now on in this economy...

My partner and I spent $80(!!!) for breakfast this weekend... we each got a cocktail, but jeez - this is diner food: biscuits, gravy, hashbrowns and eggs! There's definitely been price-creep on all the entrees.

We got the Everything Naughty plate and the Benni.

Eggs come scrambled only and were lukewarm & rubbery. Coffee/water is self-serve. The usually-delicious gravy (I got the mushroom version) was a lifeless, thick, floury lump of white - think "first time making gravy ever" version - didn't even get a hint of mushroom. Potato cakes and cheesy grits were good, as were the cocktails. Staff are friendly but you can tell they're in "rush mode" the entire time so everything feels really impersonal. You won't get any service beyond placing your order.

If you want to pay $8 for a meal for your dog you can.

I used to love this spot but felt particularly ripped off...

This place was amazing! I picked it out of a long list of options on Alberta and am so glad I did. The service was so friendly and prompt and the food spectacular! And there was enough to take home as well. My scramble had perfectly spiced pork sausage (would love to know the source), and lightly sautéed mushroom, red peppers, and gently wilted spinach with light, fluffy eggs and goat cheese on top. OMG! And the cheese grits were super cheesy and creamy- really hard to accomplish-and topped with moored grated cheese. My husband loved the brisket and sweet potato hash and the crispy buttery biscuits. I took half mine home. Also loved the supplies of Steven Smith teas at the DIY coffee and tea bar. Really hot water not out of a coffee container - yay! Portland has so many great places to eat that you don’t have to return to one but I’d definitely come back here. The cocktail menu looked enticing... maybe for happy hour or dinner next time?

I’ve been wanting to go to the Tin Shed for awhile. Because of its popularity, expect long wait times or better yet, make an online reservation. Trust me it’s better to plan ahead. One of the big appeals is that they allow dogs in their outdoor (covered) patio. My friend and I brought our pooches along. They offer two items on their dog menu, Fido Food which is chicken and sweet potatoes and Doggie Desert, banana, peanut butter and yogurt. Our pups split servings of each. I opted for the Faro Sanders, which I believe was the only dish marked clearly as vegan. It’s a bowl with farro, roasted cauliflower, delicata squash, roasted garlic, and green garbanzo beans, topped with an avocado chimichurri, and sliced red cabbage. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. I would say that if you’re vegan you might be better off going to the Radio Room just west of Tin Shed, but I’m glad I finally got a chance to see what all the fuss was about.
