Well I was thinking about eating here and still probably will so there will be an update in my review. Seems to me the owner is very defensive and really doesn’t want to fix the problems. I have read multiple reviews and all he does is blame the customers. Sir you need to fix the problems and stop blaming customers for your restaurants mistakes and mess ups. I also noticed you didn’t respond to the review that had to do with roaches 🪳. Stand by for the update because I’m going to try this restaurant and hope the food is good staff is professional and polite the owner is professional and polite and that the there are no roaches. Sir you can just come see me when I get there if you have a problem with this review because I have worked in all kinds of hospitality jobs and the reviews say you fail so I’m looking forward to meeting you if you’re brave enough to come talk to me. Folks stand by for the update.
UPDATE I’m writing this updated review as I sit here to include pictures. The chips seemed a little over cooked but was ok. Salsa was really good and had the perfect amount of spice. The horchata was delicious. However the table I sat at was sticky but that is an easy fix. I didn’t car much for the vibe of the place but that’s my opinion. I will also say if you have a wheelchair this place isn’t going to work. More vegetarian options would be great. I can’t eat meat except for seafood because of food allergies. Parking is tight so be careful parking. They got my meal wrong so I sent it back. The waitress though very sweet didn’t speak much English and I speak only a little bit of Spanish so there was a slight language barrier but we worked through it. So far the service seems very good thus far. The green salsa was pretty spicy but good flavor. This time they got my meal perfect with green sauce and all. However if you’re vegetarian don’t get the beans because I can taste the meat that it was cooked with even though there is visually no evidence of meat. The cheese in my enchiladas wasn’t even melted so that is a disappointment. The tortillas seem to be homemade instead of bought from a supplier. The food portion was good though I couldn’t finish all of my meal but I eat like a bird. The ticket or check had no prices or total on it so I had to wait to get my money out. I am for the most part happy but the restaurant could use a little tlc concerning food staff(though polite and professional doesn’t speak English) and needs a better behaved owner towards customer reviews. I am also happy to report no roaches. Just a few flies that came in through the door. So sir owner I think you need to realize that when issues pop up you deal with them and you don’t put the customer down or insult them. Here’s the kicker sir; I’m also a small business owner and I work part time doing reviews as a secret shopper so lucky for you I’m just leaving this review and not a secret shopper today. Thank you and I hope you can improve yourself and your business. The food I am rating ad mediocre at best. Food preparation and flavor needs improvement. Finally I offered to leave my number for the owner to call me about my review and the cashier must be the daughter or something because she got defensive and turned quite rude. Accusing me of want to start problems. Giving what I have read and experienced I will probably not be back.
Well I see there is no response. There...
Read moreStopped in to grab some takeout and try it even though my parents don’t eat here anymore. My first impression was things were overcooked, but majority of the dishes tasted great. Based on the taco order, I would not get the tacos again because of the grease primarily in the actual crispy shell. Maybe they need to drain more or cook less or both. Onto the best things about my meal. The chicken fajita in the quesadilla was wonderful. Best meat I’ve had in a quesadilla in a very long time. Overcooked but still edible and nowhere near as bad as the tacos. It may have been reheated, but it was reheated on the grill not a microwave and it wasn’t past it’s prime . I didn’t get around to eating my cheese enchiladas and Spanish rice (no peas! Yes!!!) until the next day. It also tasted really good and was not terribly greasy. I see some reviews saying store-bought tortillas, but that must be a stop filler when they run out because they all tasted fresh to me. I actually didn’t realize I should’ve told them to hold the taco toppings because the amount of lettuce and tomatoes filled the entire bottom of my takeout dish so if you like toppings, you’re gonna be really happy. As to the service, I struggle with food sensitivities, but Mexican is one of the safest places for me to eat . The order taker at the counter did not speak English at all beyond I’m guessing the main menu items. So I did what anyone should probably do and just opened Google to ask her to check in the back for the items I was concerned with. I didn’t have to translate whole sentences. She knew what I was asking was to see if the items were in the food. It turns out she thought I wanted the items and thought I’d be disappointed that they didn’t have them in there, which made me feel better because it seems like she must’ve told me the truth since she was telling me news she thought I didn’t wanna hear!! I might start asking this way at every restaurant! Honestly, her attitude was so sweet and wonderful I decided to absolutely go for it, hoping there would be no soy in the oil or anything else. It’s the next day and I feel great. I would definitely eat here again but try to communicate to not overcook the things. I’m not posting pictures but my food looked much like others with the completely brown shells. Pretty good looking enchiladas and all well wrapped in very good...
