Taylor Street Kitchen is one of my very favorite downtown Portland spots! This shop is both a curated marketplace that specializes in products from local farmers, coffee roasters and other artisans, and it is an eat-in or take-away deli/bakery/coffee shop. You can get a local beer on tap or a great glass of wine!
In addition to a beautiful selection of gourmet sandwiches, side salads, baked treats, soups & pizza, you can also get a delicious LUNCH PLATE that features a protein (flank steak or roasted chicken) with two side dishes (I especially love the lemon herbed potatoes and local farm vegetables). They also bake their own bread in house!! I can't get enough of their Sourdough Rye Bread (A great value at $5 per loaf! I also keep a loaf in my freezer for morning toast).

Five stars for the service, five stars for the ingredients, and five stars for the cozy vibe....

He was buying a milkshake (that's what he said he wanted) while waiting for a free meal at the church across the street. A major hub for the poor and hungry.
Additionally, no EBT SNAP benefits are accepted. Learn...
