Wow... Just wow. Such a disappointment of late. Been coming here at least weekly for the better part of a year and a half. Always been impressed and they make one of the only decent Chile Verde's in PDX.
Always order the same thing - a Chile Verde burrito with just rice, sour cream, cheese and pico, and have always been charged for a regular burrito since substituting sour cream for much more expensive guacamole is a no-brainer.
The past week or so I noticed that they decided subbing sour cream INSTEAD of guacamole actually incurred an up-charge to the super burrito, and at the same time their meat portions have gotten smaller and attitude worse.
I pointed it out and got an incredibly negative and rude response from both the man and woman working there. At this point I wouldn't have minded, just means the $2 tip I normally leave instead goes to paying their new up-charge.
But the man working dropped my receipt after I signed it (he tried to aggressively grab it) and gives me an impressive glare and says "oh my god, oh my god" and yells at me as i'm leaving that they're just doing their job.
The attitude, quality, and business practices have all fallen off a cliff. Sadly, time to find a new burrito...
Read moreI recently ordered a carne asada burrito from Mayas Taqueria for a quick dinner pickup near my hotel. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The food, including the burrito, chips, and salsa, did not meet the standards I typically associate with Mexican cuisine. The flavors were lackluster, and overall, the meal was underwhelming.
To add to the disappointment, the customer service was subpar. When I requested a side of sour cream, I was surprised to be charged $1.75 for a tiny container that seemed more fitting for complimentary condiments. The interaction left much to be desired in terms of hospitality and attentiveness.
While individual experiences can vary, I must say that my visit to Mayas Taqueria was not a positive one. I believe that there is room for improvement in both the quality of the food and the level of customer service offered. I hope that the restaurant takes feedback into consideration to enhance the dining experience for future patrons.
In the future, I plan to explore other dining options in the area to find a more satisfying meal. However, I encourage others to try Mayas Taqueria for themselves to form their...
Read moreI paid $54 for two burritos, a soggy torta and 2 horchatas. It was my husband, our daughter and pregnant. They gave us two big to go platters with our food on it and rushed us out of the line (there was one person behind us) They we rude while taking our order as well, not talkative and ignored our compliment. There was no where to sit down stairs so we went to go upstairs. It was hard to maneuver upstairs with a toddler and I tripped and spilled our horchata. I went down stairs to tell them I spilled it and was met with rudeness, I didn’t mean too. And when I asked if I could at least have one more for my daughter he wanted me to pay $10. I understand it was my fault. I will take that L. But after walking away, upset by that ordeal I sat down to eat with my husband and daughter and the food was GROSS. I’m actually afraid it wasn’t even cooked all of the way. It was gummy, greasy and flavorless expect the pineapple. The torta (as said) was soggy, like soggy as if it had been sitting for longer then 20 minutes. I will never come here again. They were beyond rude,...
