Second review (and I'll come back in a month to try again)

Maybe I shouldn't ever get takeout from here and only do sit down. My 3rd time coming to this restaurant I ended up paying 21 dollars for a meal easily 1/3rd the size I got last time where when I explicitly paid for double meat I got less lamb than I got the first I came I came here and there was an egg in the dish I didn't order which would be fine if I had known to crack the thing before driving home, but unfortunately what could have been a lovely bit of egg yolk was just a scrambled egg I picked out of the meal along with the bell peppers and onions that I keep asking to be cut in a julienne but which inevitably show up on my plate in a large wedge cut.

I dunno, the flavors are all there, it does taste good but the restaurant seems just a little inconsistent. Probably really great to go to as a sit down. It was just really weird to have nearly as much food left over on my last trip here when I paid for double meat as I got for takeout in general this time. There was probably as much meat left over as I got at all this time.

As a customer it makes me not know what to do in order to have a good experience at this restaurant. I have had great experiences here, but I don't know how to consistently have one. Not counting my Thai Tea (which is delicious 😋, they're in my top 5! Seasoning is great, but not quite creamy enough!)

(This was my first review, which I still stand by, I had given them 5 stars for this one!) I have never seen a Thai place in Portland or Vancouver that serves lamb and if that's your jam then don't go on the lam, go to Thai Vintage and they'll have you saying Aroi Mak Ma before you even know what that means.

Featured item was the Sweet Basil stir fry, medium heat, where I ordered it with extra lamb! They even made me a...

We had dinner here on January 31st and had a great experience! Our server B (spelling?) was very kind and super friendly! The atmosphere here has a quirky vibe to it but it was so cozy. I ordered the massaman curry with chicken which was one of the better curries I’ve had in Portland. The vegetables were cooked throughly and the chicken was tender. I ordered it with medium spice but probably could’ve bumped it up to hot, next time! My partner ordered the chicken pad Thai and while she couldn’t finish it, it made for great leftovers! I also ordered a Thai iced tea which was delicious, creamy and not too sweet. We’re definitely gonna be back! This spot would also be great for carry out or delivery if you are in a rush to get home and eat. This is a great small business and the people who work here put a lot of love and attention into their food, I mean just look at the heart shaped rice I got with my curry 😭😍 they also put these roses on the straws for the Thai iced tea, which like, come on how cute is that! Highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re in the neighborhood, we had a great meal and will be back again ☺️parking can be a little tricky if you’re driving but there is a paid parking lot not far from here and just a short walk if you do come by car. Love having this gem in our...

I was expecting based on the reviews and excellent customer service that the experience would be 5 star. I've had the take out 3 times since they opened and none of the times was the food amazing or anything close to that.

Considering how expensive it is to get 2 different meals for two small.children under 5 the food should of been made exactly as requested. They don't have a children's menu or offer smaller orders for kids which is standard but at least don't mess up kids orders every single time.

I've had to refeed my children twice because they didn't do their food correctly as requested. So I had to get them other food and wait to eat myself besides a few bites. I also paid extra everytime for these requests when it's no extra food or anything. My children were not impressed and love thai food. The 3rd time I ordered they didn't mess it up but the pad thai was soo small my 3 year old ate almost all of it herself. The to go package was only half full but I was charged full price.

The soup had too big of meat pieces for my 1 year old she was.choking. I specifically requested the meat to be cut up small for a.child.

All the food for my family adults was just okay. It was almost always cold getting it to go. Just not...

Very nice staff. I had Phanaeng curry. It was supposed to be Thai spicy. It was just spicy but not Thai spicy, IMHO. I had it with tofu which as any tofu pretty much has no taste so I can't evaluate how the chicken version would taste. BTW, chicken Phanaeng was what was listed on my receipt because if you want to order vegetarian meal in this restaurant, you have to ask for it since vegetarian options are not mentioned on their menu. The curry sauce was not as thick as I expected. It was a little bit on a watery side. Also since this was a takeout, I decided to add some more veggies at home. What was a little bit disappointing was that my takeout order was given to me in a plastic bag - in Portland and on the Earth day. Considering that they have no free parking and my meal was $13, it's probably not a great bargain
