Wendy's — Restaurant in Portland

The food is always good but the service is shotty. I usually don't care bc they at least get my food out on time even if it's wrong. BUT on the 24th, I went there and ordered 2 honey buddy chx biscuit combos and won't be returning. Which is a real shame because those things hit!🤩

I ordered at the box and right away, they SHOULD HAVE let me know, "There will be a 10 minute wait on biscuits, is that okay?" Plain and simple, I would've just asked for a different bread! But no, I asked for a modification for one of the sandwiches. Still no decency to say biscuits are a wait.

I order the meal and she gets my drink orders for them then I pull up to the window. We make a little small talk as she cashes me out, then IMMEDIATELY tells me she's gonna have me pull up for fresh biscuits.

I wasn't expecting a 10 minute wait on biscuits so I just pulled up and parked directly in front of the building. I waited and waited til I got so anxious that I wouldn't make it back to work on time (I didn't). I had to walk in and talk to a guy, explain to him what was happening. He then points me over to a lady who wasn't the one who cashed me out at the drive-thru window. She asks me what's going on and I re-explain everything. I wait again for my order and walk out those doors for the last time. I've been disappointed with this Wendy's before but never this let down..

Further update: I come here a few more times for my coworker and I order in advance online EVERY time. Yet I still get pulled up and have to wait, what is the point of the online...

VERDICT: HIGHLY RECOMMEND

As far as Wendy's locations go this one in my opinion and in my experience is one of the best ones to go to in this side of Portland.

I really wish I took a photo of how well packaged my order was and how they exactly did what I requested which was heavy everything and all the fixings that's literally all I had to say and my chili was probably some of the best chili I've had in a very long time.

What blew me away was the quality of everything and how it was packaged and put in separate bags and how the cheese and the onions came in these little small cups just as it would if I went to a fine restaurant like McMenamins or some other high in place.

I cannot stress enough just how great my experiences have been here whether it's the drive-thru or going inside.

The reason for the low rating on the atmosphere is simply because some people choose not to clean up after themselves and are a little bit messy , but that's not the fault of the staff as they are very busy with the kitchen. And it shows!

Another high point is that I probably placed at least 10 orders over the last year and none of them were incorrect or were made wrong.

This place really has me wondering if Wendy’s is hiring kids or do they just have a bunch of adult babies working here? I’ve never heard such unprofessionalism to this level before. Having been a GM at several stores in the past I can honestly say the behavior I see at this location would be grounds for immediate termination. The employees are cursing and gossiping and yelling at each other going to the bathrooms in groups of three being so loud and obnoxious inside that the whole restaurant can hear them in the bathrooms. One employee even said they don’t clean the toilets when cleaning the bathrooms because it’s too gross. On top of all this it takes on average 10 mins to get my food and even then there constantly seems to be a problem with it. Either they for get my cup and I have to ask or they forget ingredients on my burger. I used to come here for lunch every day but I’ve since had to bite the bit and go to McDonald’s which is further out but apparently you have to go out of your way for good service.
