Honestly great! Wonderful selection of food. There is something for everybody here. The non-bao foods can be just a little lackluster ESPECIALLY for the price. I have gotten a few different dishes here and only been disappointed once however I won't dock them for my one iffy meal as they had just opened and ive done nothing but lick my bowl clean ever since! I got a Katsu Curry here recently and the curry was only drizzled on the bottom, almost no curry at all. I honestly forgot I ordered with CURRY until I reached the bottom but regardless I cleaned my plate, It was still very delicious! Katsu was incredibly crispy and flavorful. For the same price, if not cheaper, you could get bigger and better constructed portions of the same food elsewhere. I think the non-bao items should definitely be little cheaper because $50-$60 for just two people to eat a normal sized lunch at a casual dining spot like Bao155 Is a bit much! If it was cheaper, I'd probably have lunch here every single day. HOWEVER, the Bao and Bao sandwiches are UNMATCHED. Have had quite a few baos/sanwiches in the state of NH and none have been as well done and delicious as Bao155. They are constructed beautifully and made with great care and passion. If you have a pretty penny to spend, I would highly recommend this spot! And if you don't mind treating yourself, hold the Starbucks and get yourself a Bao sandwich and Thai ice tea! If you're still stuck on whether or not to try bao155, DO IT! I'm docking a star only because it isn't affordable to get the family dinner here as often as I wish I could! This place is definitely...
Read moreAs a regular of their sister restaurant (Bamee), I knew I was morally obligated to be here on opening day! I ordered the Lemon Cream Fried Chicken bao sandwich, Panang Curry baked bao special, and Pandan Custard sweet bao.
The bao sandwich was nice and refreshing, with the fried chicken staying surprisingly crisp in my takeout box. The lemon cream was delicious and I can't wait to try it on the salad.
I tried the baked bao next and was immediately hit with a delicious blast of fresh lime. The curry flavor was bold without being overwhelming. Very mild spice suitable for those with little heat tolerance.
Lastly, the sweet bao. I could eat 20 of these with no regrets. Very light pandan flavor (which is almost like a grassy, floral vanilla) with the perfect amount of custard filling. Addictive simplicity at its finest.
Bao 155 is a perfect quick bites type restaurant with kind and attentive staff. Really good for families who need to grab a fast snack or people who want a utensil-free meal to eat on the go. Obviously, be prepared for minor scuff (i.e. wait times) due to their recent opening, but anyone who holds that against them is a fool. The food is worth it, 100%. My only regret is being unable to dine in for my first visit...
Read moreBeware if you’re using a credit card and from out of town. I initially ordered using my credit card. I was told that my order didn’t go through despite it appearing on my recent transactions. I was asked to pay again because “we didn’t receive it in the kitchen. The receipt didn’t print out so the order didn’t go through.” Tapped a second time, was charged a second time. They again said “that didn’t go through again. Please try again.” The third time I decided to pay cash. Order went through. I was assured by the merchant that it will say “pending” on my card but won’t fully charge. Now I’m in the process of going back and forth with Apple because while my initial disputes were refunded but because of the merchant, my dispute refunds were reversed. Now I’m charged with $384.56 for what should’ve been $131.52. There is exactly a $10 difference between the card and cash because I tipped $10 on the cards both times. In terms of food, possibly because it’s in an area with less competition? Food was average at best for the...
