Place looks great, but there were a few things that I noticed. 1.) Speciality cream cheeses aren't exactly anything special and a little pricey. 2.) Some of the bagels we got in our dozen weren't special either. Sesame seeds fell off the bagels, same with some of the other topped bagels. For a place that has you waiting 20 minutes during some oddly exclusive hours, I was hoping for a better and more unique bagel experience. I DO NOT recommend getting anymore than 6 bagels to try. Not worth the dozen. 3.) Terrible coffee. My partners "latte" was all milk and my coffee was unstirred. (I was also charged for flavoring? Which is fine since coffee isn't the focus but...odd for barely any flavoring left to sit at the bottom) 4.) Service wasn't great. Had to remind them about several things on our order. Bagels were all put in the same bag, no separation. Sloppy, unthoughful work for what is the main focus of this place.
Im not giving a 1 because I like what this place could turn into. Really cool and cute vibe, dogs allowed. I hope this place takes the feedback in mine and others reviews-- hipsters vibes and perceived exclusivity through short hours won't keep the business open past the 2-3 year mark. Lots of...
Read moreThis place makes the best bagels you'll ever eat - they've got your traditional favorites like sesame, poppy, everything, etc. But they also have really clever and delicious flavors like orange & poppyseed (look out lemon-poppyseed, your days are numbered) which is tasty all by itself but they have tasty sweet-leaning schmears to accompany it. The bagels are refreshingly tasty, light, and fresh while maintaining the firmness you'd expect from the hardiest of the breakfast breads.
The schmears are also extremely delicious - I had their sundried tomato cream cheese on a sesame and it rocked my world.
The atmosphere is really inviting and comfortable, well lit and very clean. You can tell just by walking in (that is, if you get there early enough to beat the fast moving line that wraps around the building) that this whole place came together though incredible labor of love.
Also - the coffee is really tasty and comes from New England-local roasters and nearly all packaging is...
Read moreThis place is so so good, 10000% worth the hype. Highly recommend the Rosemary Salt Bagel with any savory schmear! So far the schmears I've tried have been sundried tomato basil, carmelized allium, cardamom currant, miso paste, and olive, which is my favourite:) The drinks are great too! The interior is so aesthetic, bathrooms are always clean, the outdoor seating area is gorgeous with colourful flowers, and I really love how they converted it from a gas station, it's such a cool spot you absolutely have to try. The bagels are probably some of the best I've ever had, they're so fresh and flavourful. I recommend getting there before the sell out for the day. Prices are great too- the bagels are cheaper than the cream cheeses, so I recommend getting 2 bagels and one cream cheese because there is plenty of cream cheese to go around! The bagels are great toasted OR untoasted in my opinion, but I recommend getting the schmear on the side so you can put as much as...
