Great experience. For lunch, family of four....seated immediately. Waitress came over within 2 minutes with a spunky fun attitude and menus and orders for drinks. Ordered the Ribs because Diners and Dives show apparently recommended. Also Reuben, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, and Pasta with Meatballs. Ok, my son is a very fussy eater. Many times his entire meal gets wrapped up without a bite. He said the pasta and meatballs was the best he ever had. (I tried couple of bites, and it was fantastic) We usually have to beg him to eat....he couldn't stop ! That alone was priceless. The Grilled Cheese Short Rib.....delish... highly recommend. Reuben wasn't the best, but was good (I prefer the meat to be grilled up or at least cooked up). The ribs....really interesting sweet taste...and meat just completely fell off bones. Also recommended! Great attentive service from moment we got there, getting order in, filling drinks and checking on is,.to getting the check and paying. I don't leave many reviews, but I needed to here. Unfortunately, I am not a local,.so not sure when I would be back...I wish this place was in my hometown !

The kitchen crafts one of the best Caesar salad wraps I've ever savored. Great housemade Caesar dressing. Good portion of chicken and the only Caesar salad wrap I've had with bacon on it, which enhanced the overall flavors. However, I recommend this gem primarily on weekdays. I've ordered three times on a weekday and was impressed every time. Unfortunately, when I treated my wife on a weekend, the experience fell short. I discovered that it didn't taste like any of the other three times I've eaten it. Less chicken, more cheese, and much more bacon. It tasted like a bacon and cheese wrap with chicken on the side. It was incredibly disappointing. It is beyond me why the wraps don't have croutons in them, even though the salad does and why the house slaw and a pickle on takeout orders is an up charge, even though dining in offers them as part of the price. It baffles me why the wraps lack croutons, despite the salad including them. Additionally, including the house slaw and a pickle on takeout orders as an extra charge, while they are inclusive for dine-in patrons, raises questions. Parking is a challenge, but it's all worth it on a weekday.

A cozy local restaurant that offers their unique take on classic American cuisine. They are located in a charming building with plenty of street parking available surrounding the establishment. For nicer weather, there is a side patio with tables shaded with umbrellas and their main dining area. The selection of food is perfect for lunch or dinner and not overwhelming, plus they have a full bar. They serve plenty of local beer and cider, which is an excellent way to sample what the area has to offer. The majority of the menu is gluten-free, and they do offer gluten-free substitutions for sandwiches and pasta. The real highlight of the meal are their spudsters - mashed potatoes made into little conical shapes with a piping bag, probably frozen, and then deep fried. They have seasonings and sauces to choose from to create endless tasting combinations. Absolutely my new favorite appetizer, and I would come back just for these. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we were very happy we decided to stop. We will definitely be by again when in the area.

Delicious food with a pleasantly welcoming atmosphere! What a hidden gem of Portsmouth.

I stopped in around 4-5pm on a Sunday. It wasn't packed but there was a crowd. The inside is intimate but gave me a sense of home. I decided to eat outside because it was a beautiful day out. The outdoor seating was well spaced with a more minimal approach but definitely gave me a back yard vibe. It wasn't too loud like many outdoor seating spots. The whole place was very welcoming.

The service was attentive and quick. My host was friendly. Wait time to be seated & for my order were minimal.

The food is stellar! Felt like a family cooked meal, all ingredients being fresh and made to order. I decided on the Matty Melt over a salad with a small spud order. To drink, I kept it simple with an iced tea, which is made in-house.

My Spuds came with this rich and flavorful Creole seasoning and a Cuban BBQ dipping sauce. The spuds were cooked to perfection, crunchy (almost flakey) on the outside with a moist softness to the inner potato. The texture and flavors complimented each other well for this dish. Guy Fieri himself would love that ride to flavortown & so will you!!

The Matty Melt is delicious! It's a black bean & sweet potato patty with a flavorful sauce, side of coleslaw & pineapple pico style salsa, while I ordered mine specifically over a salad with pepper jack cheese. The patty itself was so fresh tasting. It's easy to tell that they make this in-house which is refreshing from the usual frozen fair. The dish wasn't too heavy or messy, but definitely left me feeling full. The sauce, coleslaw, and pico complimented this dish so well. It was a match made in culinary heaven. I got southwestern cowboy style vibes from the meal in all.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything from the restaurant itself to the service and especially the food itself. Delicious, stylish, welcoming! What more could a patron ask for? I look forward to coming back to try their in-house crab burger! I highly recommend...

Went to go for lunch with friends here to check out what looked like a super cute place and saw they did catering so I was excited to take into consideration for my wedding. Bartender was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered and I’ve managed restaurants, if my bartenders ever talked to guests the way that guy talked to me they wouldn’t have a job. Was completely humiliated because my friends were running late and the bartender said we don’t have a table so I kindly asked if it was okay to sit at the bar to wait for them, then he put out glasses for them and i asked again if it was okay if I had waited for them and then ten minutes later he said in front of the entire restaurant “I don’t know what this girl is doing her friends were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago”. And I was super shocked he even said that, and I replied to him saying I was really sorry I didn’t think it was an issue because I had asked multiple times if it was okay, meanwhile I had only been there for 15 minutes I would have just sat at the bar to wait for a table but he put out cups for them I never asked for bar seats to be reserved. Then I apologized and said well if you need these seats the two gentleman walking in can have them and I will figure it out when they get here. And the bartender replies “I don’t know what to tell you, look there’s a line out the door and your taking up the space and you said you’re friends would be here”. So my friends pulled in and I left and had a great lunch at envio. With a more competent bartender that has adequate people skills. Ironic everything said be kind or leave on the walls and that’s how they treat...

The Kitchen is one of the best spots on the seacoast! When we first moved here we just saw it on the way to our new apartment, and figured it was a good place to grab something, ANYTHING to eat as we were starving from a full day of moving. We got the Caesar with curry turkey, and a Cuban sandwich to share. Oh man, what a meal! We both are in utter silence as we wolfed down our food sitting on lawn chairs surrounded by boxes in an otherwise empty apartment haha.

That was 5 years ago, and I still remember what we are the first time, that should tell you something.

My personal favorites in no particular order:

French Dip (best I've ever had) Curry turkey (wrap or salad, doesn't matter) Duck burger Cuban (again, best outside of Miami)

My wife's favorites:

Cuban (her default, go-to) Meatball sub Curry turkey

We always get some apps, their wings change a lot and are always great, try the smelts! Honestly they're one of my favorite apps. But, they're known for their spudsters, which are fried dollops of mashed potatoes and are amazing.

Overall, one of our go-to's in Portsmouth, it's always in our top 2 or 3. The bartenders are great, and it's a great place to order pickup or eat at a table or bar.

Amazing food,...
