I absolutely LOVE this food truck at the Post Falls Pavillion! They have THE BEST Polynesian food in North Idaho or Spokane by far!!! Our office ordered it for lunch today. We had chicken katzu, kalbi ribs, spam musubi, pork puffs and the garlic shrimp skewers. Everything was SOOOOO good. Their otais are really yummy too! I met the owners and they are the sweetest couple. All I can say is if you're hungry for something different and REALLY GOOD, run don't walk to Friendly Island Grill!!!

Great food and awesome service, highly recommend the otai. Everything on the menu tastes amazing. Sometimes there is a line but I promise it's well worth the wait. Go shower them with your support.

I've had the opportunity to try this food stand during the CDA farmer market-- honestly the food is delicious. The shrimp and chicken skewers to die for.

My mom passed away Nov 2022 from stomach cancer and spent her last months of life unable to eat any solid food. But she would dream of this food. She would crave just to smell it.

Our first experience of catering with this company was for my mom funeral to honor her last meal wishes. This company provided an excellent service for my mom's funeral.

Now, I'm expecting my first baby and am going through an emotional pregnancy without my mom. I wanted to feel connected and have a little treat in honor of her-- maybe just to feel her presences. My siblings decided to surprise me by catering with this company. And we were expecting the same excellent service as always before, but this company failed to deliver to the correct event.

My sister told them the type of event (baby shower) and the location the event and even the room location.

When my sister called to check on the food, this company told her it had already been delivered. When my sister asked the volunteers at the funeral about a catering delivery, They told my sister that it was dropped off without confirmation of the correct party. And they had assumed it was a donation for the funeral and it was sent home with grieving family of the funeral.

Realizing the mistake the volunteers called the family and told them about the misunderstanding and they returned the food.... Over 2 hours late. The food was cold and my baby shower was practically over.

We were humiliated by the fact the funeral grieving family return the food to the correct party. This is a mistake made by the catering services. They failed to confirm the correct party before leaving the food with a funeral. When my sister reached out to talk to the owner of this company they offered credit at their restaurant or a full refund ($450) right away.

But after countless unanswered emails and a voicemail, my sister got a partial refund-- the company stated that since it was a last min order and processing fee-- they only refunded $260.

  1. last min order or not-- job/order was accepted by the company-- they gladly accepted payment upfront when ordered.

  2. they failed to deliver the food.

  3. they offered a solution and went back on their word and ignored my sister's emails and calls.

  4. They now are providing a partial refund and blaming it on a last minute order...

  5. they delivered to Wrong party because they couldn't simply confirm even the name of who ordered it or party.

Please think before catering with...

Visited today for dinner and ordered their special which was a Fijian Chicken Curry and I also got their 'Otai drink in a mason jar! It was absolutely delicious, lots of meat and veggies in a gorgeous curry sauce over white rice. The portions were very generous, especially for the price! The 'Otai drink was so refreshing and adorable, I love that I get to keep the cute little mason jar as well!

I can't wait to go back and try some other things, I know I love a good musubi bowl so I'll have to try theirs, and I'll be keeping my eye out for interesting new specials too! Oh, and not to mention the girl that helped me was so sweet and patient, she was such a bright spirit she really made my visit incredibly pleasant!...

A fitting name for a quaint eatery. Small in stature but very satisfying to any person seeking something out of the ordinary. The food tells a lot about the time, energy and love that is poured into perfecting a wholesome meal. Every bite takes you on a journey to places in the South Pacific or maybe experiences that reminded you of a tropical paradise. Very thankful to have stopped on through. These folks don’t expect customers, they welcome families. Please remove slippas before entering....
