My Sushi Sensei — Restaurant in Post Falls

This sushi-making class was a blast from start to finish! The class was well-organized & very beginner-friendly. Plus, we each got a sweet headband that added a fun touch and made for great photos! The two hours flew by with a perfect mix of fun, hands-on learning, and, much more importantly, delicious food!

Isaac, our instructor, was fantastic. Super patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sushi, he took the time to explain not just the how, but the why behind every step. We learned about the origins of the rolls we were making, and he even gave us the inside scoop on the best local spot to get fresh ingredients, so we can keep rolling at home.

While we did the formal class setting at the Post Falls Pavilion, Isaac mentioned that he also offers in-home events, and now we’re totally inspired to book one with friends!

Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a unique way to spend an evening, I can’t recommend this experience enough. I left full, happy, and absolutely inspired to keep practicing!

Also, I have to say, next time we go back just for the restaurant, I’m absolutely ordering...

Isaac is phenomenal! We had him come to our house and me, my mrs and the kids all got to participate in learning and making sushi! Neither of the kids were excited because they hated sushi but after this they already are asking to make some at home! Isaac is an incredible teacher and not only did he teach us how to make a variety of rolls but also taught us the history of sushi, the different varieties of sushi vs sashimi, and the history of the tools used. Isaac uses only the best fish, the best sushi rice, and only top notch knives and tools. The only thing better than the fun was the taste of the sushi! The sushi we made in our kitchen was better than some of the restaurants I have been to. This was easily the highlight of all the activities we went to this summer including all of our camping trips and Oregon coast visits.
