Moon River - Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Post Falls

We’ve now ordered from Moon River Thai Kitchen two Fridays in a row, and I can confidently say—it’s the best Thai food we’ve ever had. Even our 12-year-old agrees!

The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the dishes are packed with flavor, and there haven’t been any leftovers either time (a true sign of a great meal!). We’ve been doing takeout and ordering early, and both times my husband went to pick it up, the restaurant was already packed—which says a lot.

This place is truly a gem in North Idaho. We’ve tried six different items so far and fully intend to make our way through the entire menu. The menu itself is on the smaller side, but I really appreciate that—it means every dish is done well, and it shows.

A delightful new Thai restaurant has opened in Post Falls. On 7th street not far East of Spokane St. it is in more of a residential area and is easy to miss. We went on May 1, 2025 and they had only been open 3 weeks. We're sure the word will get out and they will be busy. Currently they are hiring and have plans to expand the menu and open up more seating. Once you try their authentic and flavorful dishes you will understand why this will be a hot spot before long. Picked up to-go food from a cozy, clean home enhanced with wonderful Thai scents from the moment I walked in the front door. I had called ahead and ordered Thai fried rice with chicken and a second entree of chicken cashew. Raced home to enjoy.

The fried rice with big chicken pieces was ample enough to share. Cashew chicken consisted of roasted nuts, crunchy vegetables and both dishes were not overly salty, allowing the flavors to come through. Also tried a side serving of the green curry - yum.
