I visit the Starbucks on 153 in Piedmont almost daily, and I’ve never had an unpleasant experience. The drive-thru staff are always upbeat and friendly, making my visits enjoyable. I typically order a Trenta iced coffee with Stevia, and I ask them to stir it well since Stevia doesn’t dissolve easily in cold drinks.
However, on 10/10/24 around 8:30 am, I ordered my usual drink and reminded the staff to stir it well. When I received it, I noticed the Stevia hadn't dissolved, so I kindly asked if they could stir it again. I watched as the drive-thru associate asked the Barista to stir it, but unfortunately, the Barista seemed frustrated, saying, "This is so STUPID," before hastily pouring the drink from one cup to another and handing it back to the associate. The associate then handed it to me without much emotion, and the window closed.
I was surprised by the reaction, especially after paying the usual $5.30 for my coffee. Later, I called to speak with a manager to discuss what happened. The shift supervisor who answered was kind and apologetic, explaining they were short-staffed and that it might have caused some stress for the Barista. They offered a free coffee for my next visit, but I suggested they give the Barista a break instead, as I wasn’t upset and wanted them to have a better day.
This was one small negative experience out of many positive ones, but I hope sharing it will help management identify areas to support their team, especially during busy times. Overall, I still enjoy visiting this location and appreciate the hardworking staff.
Updated Review:
After receiving what seems like a robotic, AI-generated response to my review, I've decided to forget about my 3,000+ stars on the Starbucks app and exclusively support local coffee shops. Coyote Coffee offers a much better experience, and they truly care about their customers. As I travel, I will make it a point to never visit another Starbucks again. Thank you, Starbucks, for helping me make...

Trenta iced coffee extra cream light ice 11 pumps of classic. Anyone who works there and reads this will know exactly who it was even if my name wasn't listed.
There is a core group of young folks that has been there ever since I started really drinking coffee. I don't want to disclose my age but a lot of these folks could be my kids and that hurts my heart because it makes me feel old but they're always full of compliments so I would go there even if I didn't drink coffee.
But anyway I don't want to name drop they know me I know them I'm always checking up on them they're checking up on me Love those kids!!
I have to say unfortunately I really don't know the morning crew I know some of the swing shift and of course I know the night crew I would say the majority seem to be high school kids and they are a great bunch.
I usually just place the mobile order ahead of time it's ready every single time and there's not enough good that I can say.
I honestly wish I was loaded because I would leave fat tips every single time but instead I just dropped some wisdom on them I know they would rather have cash but hey take what you can get right? 😆
I am in a Starbucks everyday as far north as maybe Greer as far south as Seneca? This is my go-to one it's also a mile away from where I live which helps.
I don't think you'll find a...

A unique blend of everything that is right and wrong in the world. A balanced blend or... Medium roast, if you will. Any customer that fails to see the efforts made by the wonderful staff here deserves the fiery wrath of a thousand suns and punitive action from at least 5 Greek Gods... Unless you can make a better cup of coffee at home in which case why don't you just like, keep that to yourself and enjoy your ridiculous beverage on your foyer? BET YOU CAN'T! Because you haven't enjoyed anything since your last dance recital 12 years ago, when your instructor told you "Do it again... with feeling!" You were ashamed. Your pain went unacknowledged then, but now, with that first sip of your hot peppermint mocha, brewed to perfection, expertly tempered to 127 degrees on this cold winter morning with chocolate curls delicately placed on top of a gentle cloud of handcrafted whipped cream, you feel your anger wash away with the tender-loving-care that this stranger put into this cup of liquid. A single tear rolls down your cheek when you realize... They made it...
