Long review ahead! Don't let low star ratings fool you. People unfortunately are more likely to leave a review when thay are unhappy vs when they've had a good experience, so I never read too far into that. This is by far my most favorite Freddy's location. I meet my husband here for lunch once a week and if we miss that weekly lunch date, we're always sure to check in on the weekend. I love the hot dogs. The grilled dog is perfectly complimented by a buttery, toasty bun. Throw some chili and onion on there and you have the real deal. My husbands go to is the grilled cheese steak burger. Again, toasted to absolute perfection. Chili cheese fries are delicious, tots are super crispy, the way tots are supposed to be- and never soggy, the onion rings are some of the best around. Don't fill up too much on these lunch time staples though because saving room for desert is a must! Custard: creamy, sweet, delicious. Our favorite is a strawberry cheesecake sundae or concrete to split. Generous toppings and beautifully served- you simply can't go wrong with a Freddy's frozen treat. This location in Powell is always very clean with clean, well stocked restrooms, drink fountains and condiment station. Its doesn't end there though. The staff is what makes the whole experience. Friendly, inviting and genuine. Vince is definitely the best of the best. He always goes out of his way to make sure everything we order is perfect. I always trust his suggestions (like giving the chili a try when I had never had it before) and he never forgets to remind me to collect my rewards points! Even after seeing so many different faces everyday, he somehow manages to remember exactly what our family likes such as my toddler only eating plain hot dogs with the bun on the side (or cheese/ketchup only burgers) or preference for smoky fry sauce over the original. That kind of sevice makes us feel incredibly valued. We usually spend about $10 per regular meal which is easily comparable to the golden arches down the road- but for far better tasting/better quality food. Freddy's in Powell is a top tier location and has our family's buisness...
Read moreI had debated quite a while about posting this review, but this was probably the WORST dining experience I can remember. To begin with, we ordered pickup through the app right before we got there, and the bags were not placed in the appropriate area (they were behind the counter). I stood there waiting on our food ( as we decided to grab it and eat inside) because none of the employees would come to the counter while they were having some kind of loud, heated conversation. By the time I asked and was handed the bags, the food was cold and fries were stale. My burger was not correct, and we didn’t get our requested sauces. I again waited to ask for sauce and never got help, so I reached over the counter to grab a couple of packs, and someone rolled their eyes at me. While eating, a drive through customer had to come in to get her order corrected and get appropriate change back… it took them so long to fix the issue (after she explained it nearly 20 times) that we left before her, 35 ish minutes later. I went to redeem my free frozen custard coupon and the man at the cash register kept asking me the same questions over and over again and then started yelling at me for no reason. He would not pay attention to anything. When the custard was prepared he apparently left it in the kitchen. I stood there for 10 minutes after I saw him make it before someone came up to the counter, and he went back to find it sitting beside the machine. It was partially melted and not even mixed! All the mix-ins were on top. None of my issues were fixed, but it just wasn’t worth dealing with the staff. We (as well as another group we chatted with) were given the impression that most of the staff may have been under the influence...
Read moreWe have loved having Freddy's in our area! We think their fries are the best thing on the menu! The fry seasoning is addictive!
We usually go to the drive-thru, which always seems to take a long time. The last time we went, the drive-thru was packed so I went inside to order a fry. The people in front of me ordered an ice cream cone, which was handed to them at the counter. I was surprised when they didn't hand me my fries the same way. I waited near the order counter, and the employees kept looking at me oddly. Then someone yelled out my order from another counter I never even saw. They just put the bag on the counter and walked a away, so I was left on my own to search for fry seasoning, which wasn't by the drinks or anything. I finally spied it on the counter where they put the food, facing the employees, so I grabbed some.
So, needless to say, the food is great but the service could be improved. We've had issues picking up food inside that we ordered online previously, too, so this wasn't a one-time thing. I guess we'll just stick with the drive-thru, because guess what? The vehicle that was in front of us in the drive-thru pulled out right before we did. Yep, it took longer to go inside and get a fry then to sit in a...
