I was in there Friday around 7pm as a door dasher picking up an order. There was another dasher there. 1 customer waiting on an order about 3 cars in the drive thru line. Only 2 workers . 2 Amazing ladies they looked to be in their 50's. 1 was working the headset handling the drive thru while also working the food line preparing the food and packaging orders. The Other Lady was working the front counter while also working the food line and packaging orders. They were also dropping fresh food and double checking orders. A lady came in a little frustrated because she had been asked to pull around from the drive thru and she thought they forgot about her. They were actively working on her order it was just a large order. They were so Polite and they worked so well together. I go into restaurants all over the city. I see places with 6 to 8 workers handling the same situation and they don't do nearly as well. If every Company had a Team of workers like those 2 ladies with a few more workers...As a dasher I unassigned orders all the time at other Restaurants because I get frustrated waiting . I'm standing there watching a whole crew of people not doing their jobs. They are outside smoking , on their phones, standing around talking, or playing. I waited the few extra minutes for this Long John Silvers order because I was so impressed just watching how good these ladies were. Got my order, and it was kind of a big order. I watched them box it. Everything was fresh and Hot. Can't say enough good things about these Ladies. Other than some small Family owned places I go in Dashing... These 2 Ladies are the best teamwork I have ever seen . As a dasher I avoid some Restaurants because I know its gonna be all bad. I can say if I ever get an order from that Long John Silvers I will always accept it . As a dasher who has done over 5000 deliveries. You can imagine how many restaurants I have been in and have seen how they work. I don't go write reviews about everything but once again was so impressed by...
Read moreWhen I first came to this store after moving here 11 or so years ago, I liked this place. The food was good, it took a little while to get but not unreasonably so. And the staff was all right, sometimes a little Brusque but mostly polite. Over the years, things have been getting steadily worse.
I really, really wanted this place to get better over the years, but it unfortunately has not. The service has steadily gotten slower and the staff has gotten less and less. The quality of service lately when you actually speak to a person is at least somewhat friendly, but you'll be lucky if you get to speak to someone while sitting and waiting at the speaker in 15 minutes or less. At one point they actually had a note posted on their drive thru saying that they had one manager and one employee and please be patient. I understand that low Staffing can affect service speed, and I understand that it is difficult to be accommodating when you don't have the people to do it, but I also have places to be and right down the road there's a Dairy Queen with chili dogs that are just as tasty, if not better now. The food quality that I've received here is poor to average, including both the A&W and Long John Silver portions of the menu. The accuracy is abysmal; I've had to check my order every time and almost every time they have missed something. It takes 10 minutes or more to get my food, and then when they miss something and takes another 5 to 10 minutes to get what they missed.
I can't speak to the dining experience anymore as I haven't been there in a while, but the last time I went a few years ago things were not very clean nor were they well stocked. Based on the reviews I'm reading nothing has really changed.
I used to really love their food, and I wish I could keep coming here, but until they get their act together and really revamp this store, they won't see me here again. I'd rather go to...
Read moreI typically don't like to complain about little things but this whole experience was one of the worst.
We stood at the counter to order for about 5 minutes. Finally one of the older guys tells someone in the back that they have someone up front. He was polite and said shell be with us shortly. So she comes to the register and I don't think she even asked what she could get for us. So we ordered.
2 people had already ordered together before we got there. We were waiting 15+ minutes while drive through people were passing through. (Maybe 3 or so cars). We finally got our order. I had chicken and my gf had chicken and fish. Her fish was pretty fresh but the fries and chicken were not. As you can tell by the picture the fryer grease is in a dire need of changing and tasted like it as well. We were also missing a hush puppy. Which she apparently said something about. (I couldn't hardly understand what she said.)
Anyway I went up about 2 minutes after for some tarter sauce since the dispenser was empty (as well as the drink lids and just about out of napkins). I stood there for a minute or so while they were kind of just standing around and one dude was changing his shirt right in the open. When I asked for the sauce I mentioned the hush puppy and she just turns around and grabs 2 from a tray.
Thank you for the extra but what in the world were we waiting on this entire visit??? If there were hush puppies already done then why was there one missing? If we were there for 15 minutes I would have expected fresh food.
I can see that on all the other low rated reviews not a single one is replied to by the owner/operator. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE before this location is shutdown and all...
