Pennys in the village — Restaurant in Prairie Village

The remodel of this space is excellent. The flow of the bar into the restaurant works well. Had the pre-fix menu for lunch. The branzino was perfect. It was a deconstructed dish with the rice and the salad to dress plated separately so you could build your own perfect bites...and the fish didn't get soggy from the accompaniments. Excellent addition to the PV shops. Patio season is upon us and Pennys will definitely be added to our rotation. Happy Hour is 3-6pm. Long time fan of the Leawood location and very pleased to see one in PV. Food & service, as always with Pennys, was wonderful. Had the veggie combo app, cashew chicken stir fry (perfectly cooked), and the Laab salad. All were A+. Our server Keith was very friendly...

If you like what penny does, (who doesn't) you will like this. The soft shell salad was amazing, her crab rangoon is like, paper thin wrapper so its just gooooood, ya know? Its a bunch of her dishes from around town in a damn classy presentation.

And get the thai sausage, that and a tea and you've easily got a quality...
