Food - As a BBQ fan, I decided to get the bbq plate to try the ribs, pulled chicken, and pulled pork and the sides were coleslaw, collard greens, and baked beans. All of the meat was dried out really bad and tasted like it was cooked two days prior and just kept warm. I tried to revive the meat with extra bbq sauce but it didn’t work. The bbq sauce was served to you in little small to-go cups and contains the most sugar I have ever tasted in a bbq sauce. I also ordered a water which tasted horrible and could easily be identified as tap water. I wish I would have taken pictures to share on this review. The food is also really expensive as my total was $31.65 including tax for the absolute worst bbq I have ever tasted in my travels across the country.
Service - the cashier seemed rude and mad she was at work. I have never been to this restaurant as I am from out of town, and the cashier didn’t attempt to help me understand the large menu after telling her it was my first time. The only reason I selected 2 out of 5 stars was due to the great customer service of my waitress.
Atmosphere - nice - basic little bbq spot
I do not recommend this restaurant with bad customer service, overpriced food, and the driest bbq. When you have “Famous BBQ” in your restaurant name, you must have at the minimum...

Read moreWhile visiting Alabama we wanted to try the famous white bbq sauce. We decided on this place. We popped in around 6pm the place was completely empty in the dine in area however the take out orders were busy. The customer service was dry and slightly rude, being a 1st time visitor you obviously have questions regarding menu. It was almost as if the attendant was bothered by questions and the replies were less than cordial. Moving on.
The white sauce was tasty - which was a plus, the reddish brown BBQ sauce was not so tasty - had an Asian flair
The rib meat was superbly flavored and super soft but not fall off the bone soft.
The baked beans were very good, not watery and flavorful.
The corn nuggets were standard.
The fried tomatoes were pretty good and fresh and appreciated the fact that they were not over breaded.
The cole slaw was on the sweet side - too sweet for me.
The chicken tenders were juicy and actual chicken not frozen pressed chicken junk.
All the meat in the sampler platter was on point.
Glad the food was good and enjoyable but out of personal principal and poor employee attitude we won't be visiting again - I believe in voting with my dollar.
Hope you have a better experience than we did since the...
