We took our dog to revisit friends at Princeton University on an exceptionally hot day, so we just happened upon this coffee shop for AC—an unplanned stop. We didn’t realize it wasn’t a typical dog-friendly café, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They let us know it was fine since our dog was quiet and well-behaved, and we weren’t blocking any walkways—there was a mutual understanding that made everyone comfortable.
We stayed just long enough for a cup of coffee, but we ended up chatting a lot. I could feel Creston is truly passionate about running this coffee shop—he introduced their special lightly roasted coffee beans, which he said are the only ones of their kind on Nassau Street. Creston and Aliza were exceptionally kind; they both praised our dog, and Creston even made a special homemade “pup cup” lol, which wasn’t on the menu.
We were so happy to be back visiting Princeton after graduation. Their kindness to us and our dog made our day even better! Their thoughtful, personalized service turned an ordinary coffee break into a joyful, calming experience. We deeply appreciate their hospitality and recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for not just great coffee, but also genuine,...
Read moreBy far the best latte I've ever had, period. Been a longtime customer of this location. I'm a latte junkie and always visit highly regarded coffee shops when I'm traveling (whether for business or leisure). I've gone to many famous shops in NYC and Brooklyn and Rojo's is right up there with them, if not, better than most. The flavor of their latte is so unique and leaves you with a lasting impression that makes you go back over and over again. I now live 50 min. away from Princeton, but still go back at least once a month just to grab their latte again. The baristas do an incredible job of extracting espresso that really brings out the flavor of the beans. Everyone I've brought to Rojo's were impressed and became fans of the spot. The only downside is that it's a small store with limited seating (it sits...
Read moreThe coffee is good, but don't try to order a tea latte with 2 bags. They only had bagged tea, so 2 tea bags is needed. I was willing to pay extra. The guy was rude and totally stumped on how to charge me. He had never heard of such a thing - tea with steamed milk. It's a real thing, had my first one 30 years ago in Denver. The guys attitude was shocking coming from oregon where baristas are usually cheerful and accommodating. All while living in a place that rains 7 months or more out of the year. Any barista can make a tea latte and with good tea. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, or thought the place was too good for making tea. When I asked for the tea list he snapped at me for not seeing the list. I left without getting the tea or the 2 macchiatos I was also...
