Weâve always loved and appreciated how fresh and tasty the chicken salad croissant is. Havenât came in years but did feel that the size of the croissant sandwich was smaller than before. I love their tomato soup!!! ⌠More Photo 1 in review by J Photo 2 in review by J Photo 3 in review by J la Madeleine (Owner) 3 weeks ago Even more delicious than it looks! đ Virgie Local Guide¡354 reviews¡2427 photos 5 months ago Dine in | Other | $1â10 We had an amazing time! We had ordered the Pesto cream pasta and Tomato soup. Pasta was good, soup was too tart for my taste, had to add honey to balance it. Heard that the Sandwiches are really good. Want to try it next time. ⌠More Photo 1 in review by Veena KG Photo 2 in review by Veena KG Video 3 in review by Veena KG Photo 4 in review by Veena KG la Madeleine (Owner) 5 months ago We're very delighted to earn your rating! I placed an order online and when I showed up, I got the full French experience. When I walked in the restaurant was basically empty and nobody waiting in line. There was a girl leaned up against the back counter who gave me a quick look, a face of disgust, and stared back at her phone or the floor, couldn't have cared less I was standing there. Fortunately, another girl came out of the back with an order in hand and asked if she could help me and gave me my to go order. The other girl, only a few feet away never moved.
The food was lacking in flavor. I've been going to La Madeleine since the first location opened and know what to expect, this location does not measure up.
La Madeleine isn't what it used to be and this is by far the worst iteration yet.
I called and spoke with the manager who apologized but actually encouraged my negative review to encourage a district manager response. I'm not sure what's going on with one of my old favorites but it's not good.
Sad to say La Madeleine is no longer a good dining option. I hate that they've degraded so badly.
There are a lot of options in the area, I'd recommend...
Read moreWith many of our familiar restaurants closing, we took the recommendation of relatives who ate here and had a very good experience. After a long day of appointments, we were up for someone else to cook, but didn't want fast food, just a decent meal at a reasonable price. We arrived before 5pm, early to eat for us, but we also didn't want to deal with the later traffic. After we made a loop on Preston because we missed the entrance we entered the nearly empty restaurant. There were some people finishing up and we were unsure of how exactly it worked. As you walk in, there are printed menus to the left of the line entrance. You place your order at the register, you are given a number on a little metal stand, cups if you order a cold beverage, and you choose your table. They have a variety of options for seating, regular height wooden and metal tables, a section to the left rear with cushioned bench seating for half of each table, a few seats at a counter with stools past that, and pub style tables and chairs. We sat inside, but there is also a very large shaded patio, and restrooms, but we did not utilize either on this visit. They have a glass dessert cabinet near the register so you can see the amazing delights for later. Note they do ask for you to choose a tip, or no tip when you pay, so consider what you feel is appropriate to have your food brought to the table. You do not have to bus your own table. They were not making the beef and parmesian potatoes when we visited, so we had one Quiche Lorraine, one of us chose the "Pick 3" with a full French dip sandwich ($2 upgrade for a full sandwich), plus two cucumber, watermelon and feta salads. The salads are seasonal items, and come in porcelain cup-sized bowls. The quiche was tasty. All of the flavors came through and the crust was not too tough, or too soft. It comes in an aluminum pie tin, but it was not cooked in it, so you can slip it onto the plate to eat it, which is nice. The French dip was very good, and they made sure the meat was done well, my preference. The au jus was flavorful, but I will ask for extra horseradish sauce the next time for the sandwich as there was barely enough on it this time. The baguette for the sandwich was not too tough, or crispy, so you could get a full bite of all of the ingredients without fighting through the bread. The salads were good, sweet watermelon and the contrast of textures with the crisp cucumber, and tje'and the feta, but the cucumber could use a bit more dressing. Compared to a similar salad at California Pizza Kitchen, taste wise, this could use a splash more dressing. All said, we had the easy dinner and also washed it down with Mango unsweetened tea which was refreshing. We will definitely be back to try other items from breakfast and lunch, to entrees. We don't know what it would be like at peak times, but there is a lot more seating than you would expect, so standing in line for your order would be the only catch. We will have to see if you can pre-order to eat in, to make it a bit easier, especially when standing for long is more taxing physically. The staff was friendly and efficient...
Read moreHaving been going to LaMad for years now, this location is turning out to be subpar. Multiple times salad doesnât have dressing included, sandwiches are drenched. We typically only get LaMad for lunch as takeout. In addition to this, something has been vexing me since we started using this new location.
There is a big installment of shelves right next to the front door for pick up orders. Convenient, right? Except that theyâŚneverâŚuseâŚit. Each time Iâve picked up thereâs a big grouping of prepared to go bags all smooshed together on counter behind the register, and they just keep adding to it instead of using the space they literally made for that very purpose, forcing people to go up and ask for their order.
Just use your space and common sense.
UPDATE: 12/18 Despite the copy & paste corporate response below, they are STILL not using the to go shelves.
1/19 Still not using the shelves and making me wait for an employee to bring me my bag 5 ft away.
1/31 Still not using the shelves. Still have to wait for someone to hand the bag I could have just picked up for myself, just like their website says. And now that Iâve gotten home, multiple things wrong...
