We arrived as a family of seven to enjoy a hibachi dinner just a few minutes ago. I dropped off my wife and kids at the entrance and parked the car. By the time I came inside, my wife looked upset and told me the young man at the host stand had been shockingly rude to her. Not only was he disrespectful to her, but he was also openly dismissive and condescending to the young woman working alongside him. Despite this, we tried to brush it off and focus on having a nice dinner together.
When my mother stood up for a moment, the kind young woman at the host stand politely asked if she was on the waiting list. I let her know she was with our group, and the young woman thanked us and assured us we’d be seated soon. That’s when the young man jumped in again—this time speaking to her in a nasty, arrogant tone, loudly saying something like, “Well too bad! They’ll just have to wait!” His behavior was so disrespectful and inappropriate, not just to us but to his own colleague, that everyone in our group heard it.
At that point, I had enough. I confronted him directly, told him he was extremely rude, and that he had no business being a host or representing any company. I asked him to cancel our table—we refused to give our business to a place that tolerates that kind of behavior. As we were walking out, the manager approached us and apologized on the young man’s behalf. But the staff member himself didn’t show any remorse or offer an apology. The manager tried to offer free drinks and appetizers, but frankly, the damage was already done. First impressions are everything, and this one left us appalled. We won’t...
Read moreWe’ve eaten here before, the food was decent. We tried to go back tonight for my mom’s birthday, and they said it would be an hour wait. We went back to check how much longer about 45 minutes later and they told us almost an hour again. When asked if that was correct, the two girls at the counter looked at each other and one acted like it was very wrong, the other insisted it was right. We gave up and just left because it felt like we were being given the run around for no reason and had already waited an HOUR at that point, even with my brother on crutches hobbling around as we tried to waste time while waiting. This was a terrible experience and the staff did not seem understanding, nor did they act like they even knew what was going on in their own restaurant.
Literally as soon as we walked out, I called back in just to see what they would say the wait time was for our party size, and on the phone they told us something completely different; that it would only be about 20-30 minutes at the most. So clearly they either intentionally lied to us or they truly do not know how to manage their business.
UPDATE: The business owner reached out to us after we posted this review. She stated that she takes their customer service very seriously and wanted to personally apologize for the experience we had and try to make it right. We appreciate the very swift attention to the address the problem and have updated the star rating and this review to reflect their actions. We will definitely be back to give it...
Read moreI showed up late, at about 9:25pm. It tends to give you a good idea of what kind of establishment you're working with. This is not my first visit. I'm impressed that the service seems to be consistently good at all hours of the day and week.
I was not greeted at the door and no one came up for several minutes. A gentleman who looks to be an employee off the clock asked me if I wanted to sit down and told me I could just grab a menu and sit anywhere. I think this was primarily because it was 30 minutes to close and would generally be when employees are doing closing duties which is completely understandable.
I sat myself in the sushi dining area in a booth and I was quickly greeted by a server. He kept my drinks refilled and got my shrimp tempura appetizer out in record timing. It was piping hot and it's definitely one of my favorite parts about this place.
I ordered a Mama San roll which was very delicious. I also ordered a Beauty roll. The beauty roll was good but spicier than I expected and a little too gooey for my preferences. Still enjoyable. I also ordered a Lady Gaga roll to go.
We have done take out at this location as well and the quality has been consistent.
Overall I am very pleased with this establishment and will continue to enjoy my...
