This is probably some of the worst food I've ever eaten and I only ate it because I was hungry and don't like wasting food. I composted the leftovers. I honestly can't even believe that there are so many good reviews on here because after the waste of $100 that I spent last night, I'm ready to question friendships with people who say that this place is great. Here's what we got: Pad Thai: Pink(?), almost tasteless (see attached photo), fine amount of meat in the dish, noodles were short and choppy. Scallion Pancakes: greasy, tasteless Beef and Chinese Broccoli: menu says it comes in a thick brown sauce. It does not. The sauce was basically brown water. Broccoli was okay. Peking Ravioli: slimy, dry filling, tasteless, even with the dipping sauce which was also a little off and again, not as flavorful as I've had at other establishments. General Tso Chicken: cooked fine but the sauce was again, off a little. Lacked flavor, and most definitely was not in the least spicy. Didn't get a single chili in the bowl. Overall, I'm really disappointed in what a waste of good real estate this place is taking up on such a great part of Hope Street.

On a Friday night at 7 this restaurant was super busy. Large menu, many choices Chinese Thai, Cambodian. You can bring your own wine in if you like. Prices are reasonable I had a good coconut stir fry dish with shrimp. My friend had a sweet and sour stir fry with scallops. Everything was very good but the scallops were not. We made a complaint about it and yet there was nothing done, no adjustment to the bill. Other than that we have been here before and we will go back although that was poor judgment on their part in my opinion. There is no Ambiance and it was warm, I didn't see any evidence of air conditioning (which is kind of hard to believe,) and if it's true and I would be worried if it was a hot day. In the one photo where I show two plates that was one dinner, shrimp curry with peanut

I haven’t been here in years. That’s about to change! The shrimp nimchow was fresh and light. Loved the mint in it, delicate and delicious. The peanut sauce was perfect. I had the shrimp lemongrass so so good! My bf had the shrimp lemongrass with jalapeños and added broccoli/ it had a totally different taste- ginger, it was also very good. My son had chicken fried rice- yummy and garlic wings which he gave a thumbs up to. The price for these dishes were great (under $10, the broccoli added a couple extra bucks). The food all looked, smelled and was DELICIOUS! I have a friend who says she comes here all the time, now I know why. The place was also busy for dinner on a Tuesday- lots of people in and out for take out.

I don't know what the heck to this restaurant, it used to be a staple of Cambodian and Vietnamese cuisine in Providence. I have been a long time customer since the doors opened back in the mid 2000's. I'm sorry to say this, but over the last few years, the quality of the food has been on a steep decline, they changed the business quite a bit during COVID to a more to-go oriented service and I feel like the quality of the food has just gotten disappointing. I used to order from here several times a year and up to once or twice a month in 2021. I feel like in mid-2022 they really just fell flat. I believe new owners took over and everything kind of fell apart. None of the dishes are as good as the used to be, the ingredients don't seem very fresh anymore, bland, improperly cooked, and just about everything I have received from this restaurant over the last two years has been a total let down. The service has also suffered and there is usually only one wait staff member in the dining room and they aren't as attentive (not a big deal for this style of restaurant, but I still feel it's worth mentioning and I could easily overlook it if the food was still up to par). This used to be my go-to for fast tasty food on a budget, I honestly doubt I will return. The original location is still very good and has yet to let me down, I believe the other location on the South side is still owned by the same family, but Palace just isn't the one...

We absolutely ADORE the Apsara on Public street but we tried the hope street location since public street wasn't offering delivery. I hate to say it, because I was really praying it would be the same. It is not as good. Not even close. I won't be ordering from this apsara again. Nothing can compare to the public street location! The portions were MUCH smaller, they didn't send enough utensils (we ordered enough food for 4 people &got 1 set of plastic utensils!), didn't send enough condiments (the 2 little containers of duck sauce weren't even half full!), some of the food was ice cold, the eggrolls had imitation crab. in them!!! (That's disgusting!!) &the fried rice was pretty disappointing. The fried rice on public street is the BEST fried rice I've ever had anywhere &they actually fill the container, not just half fill it. The gen tso chicken was half full of chicken &half full of broccoli &lacked the deep smoky flavor of the public street location. It's a sad replacement for it's sister site on public street unfortunately. We were sad to discover this. The best thing about the food was the beef terriyaki &the cambodian noodles. I have no complaints on those. I'm here to tell you that even if you live closer to the hope location, do yourself a huge favor &order from public street....

I just had the worst experience of my life at this establishment. I dined in with my 10 year old son and we ordered shrimp nim chow (delicious), scallion pancakes (delicious), sticky chicken wings (just ok) and chicken pad thai (inedible). I told the staff that the pad thai smelled terrible and I couldn't eat it. He told me that it was what I ordered and I should have "done my research". What research? Yes, I understand what pad thai is and I have had it other places. He got upset with me because he said it was what I ordered so it is what it is and he caused a big scene in the restaurant. He told me that he didn't care if I ever returned there. He also proceeded to tell me that no one wants to wait tables anymore anyway and he doesn't care at all. This interaction was uncalled for. I simply told him that I was disappointed that it was inedible but that it was ok and I would pay for it. There was no need for a volatile situation. I'm deeply disturbed that I could be treated so horribly for no reason at all. I didn't deserve the treatment I received from this place. I will never go back here again. It's just so horrible that people can treat each other this way. Please don't support this place because they don't...
