I was searching for a great restaurant to take my wife to her for her birthday and found Molly's based on the great reviews so thought we could give it a try. From the moment we pulled up we thought that it was cute, with their landscaping choices and well kept appearance on the outside. When we walked in, it was perfect, small but cozy and welcoming. We made our way to the chalkboard menu looking it over for a while, when the server behind the counter came up and asked if this was our first time here. After telling her that it was, she very happily went over the menu options with us, and was more than happy to show us what each of the delicious sounding menu items were in their serving dishes. My wife had mashed potatoes and when asked said that she would like briwn gravy, the server then ladeled some heavenly gravy from the pot roast pan. This isnt something I would have expected, but holy cow, what better gravy would there be?? The food was absolutely fantastic, the lemonade, triangle shaped cheddar biscuits, chipotle pulled chicken, just heaven. As we ate, we noticed the charming decor around, the giant spoon and fork on the wall, the outside covered dining area, and the picture and story of the original owner. I commented to my wife several times "i think we've found our place!" The place was great, the food was great, but my favorite thing was the staff, they were so welcoming and friendly, I felt like I was...

I expect Molly's to be yet another local "diner". Boy was I wrong. This is Sunday dinner my mom made many years ago. That's both good and bad. The vegetables are cooked for as many hours as the meat with the braised meat. So, the veg is mushy. However, that's what mom did, and it tastes OK. The salad and dressing was first class. The mashed potatoes are just what I grew up with. It's "real" gravy. It uses the same shortcuts mom did. It's obviously thickened with cornstarch, or similar, rather than making a roux. I'm really OK with all that. The clientele when I was there was slanted to the older side life. They exceed what they are tell you they are going to do. Everyone was friendly. The place is clean. We are constantly looking for a place that isn't a chain and serves food my 88 year old parents find comfortable. This place has it in spades, and will enter regular rotation when taking them out. It will also be regular for me when I don't want to cook and don't want fast food. Molly's could easily be mediocre cafeteria food. Instead it's quality...

Top notch place, with great service to start the lunch hour. Better be early or you will be waiting in line. Had the lean brisket with baked beans and green beans, with a regular roll. So here goes the breakdown; The brisket was perfectly done. Though, since it was lean, not a lot on the flavor side of things, just the taste of a tender meat (Which was fine for me). I was satisfied with the meat. The bakes beans had a great twist with a three bean base and the addition of squash to the recipe. Fantastic in taste and compliments the overall dish. Now to the green beans. These were interesting. I had to have a few bites to really break down what I was experiencing. These beans seemed flash frozen, which preserves taste without the bitter taste that usually accompanies frozen veggies. With the inclusion of butter and onions, and you have a decent green bean dish. The roll was pretty basic and not much else... Overall I was satisfied with my meal and the...

Have you walked into a place and feel like you’ve stepped back in time? I feel like that at Molly’s in Provo. I always feel like I’m getting a warm meal from grandma’s kitchen - full of traditional cooking. Pair this with their hours (Wed-Fri lunch only) and what you get is one of the more unique food experiences in Provo (and maybe in Utah). I got the brisket and mashers and was in heaven on the cold day. I love visiting around thanksgiving too and just basking in tradition. Also, their sugar cookies and carrot cake are divine. I saw a lot of people getting meatloaf…. It may be my next choice because I’m pretty picky when I get it. Have you been to @mollysprovo ? What do you get????? . 📍 Molly’s 753 Columbia Ln Provo, UT . . . . #provo #provoutah #provofood #byu #byufoodie #orem #oremutah #provogrubs #brisket #mashedpotatoes #utah #utahfood #utahfoodie #utaheats #utahgrubs #lunch

It tastes like home cooked foods. The only reason I have the atmosphere a 4 is because they should really open a large dining room. There’s never anywhere to sit. But I say that with positivity. They just need a larger dining room. Who knows why they don’t, only the owners know why. That’s how good the food is, they have so many people, they can’t sit them all. I would say that the salad option is very bland. They don’t really have any more than a couple toppings to put on a green salad. Parking is another issue with Molly’s. It’s almost a problem. I’m sure the other businesses get irritated with all the traffic. I want to end this review with a positive finish. The food that I’ve had is pretty delicious. But I’ve only tried a couple things. Thank you to whoever Molly is.
