2 and a half weeks ago I decided I wanted to get some wings. I called Wingers at 8:45 and the lady instructed me at 9:00 they would be ready for pick up. I got to wingers at 9:02 and walked into the location in South Provo attached the the mall. I stood in the lobby as waitresses walked past me without any greetings (I was standing in the middle of the lobby, pretty obvious I was waiting). It wasn't super busy being that late. Maybe 3-4 families in the restaurant. It was around 9:15 at this point and I got tired of standing so I took 2 steps forward and started leaning on the hostess table? The large podium thing. As soon as I did that a lady came over and said in a super snarky tone. Ummmmmmm Can I help you? (Super sarcastic) Very Nicely I said "Yeah, I orders some wings 30 minutes ago and im trying to pick them up." She turned around without saying a word and left. I obviously knew she was checking on my wings but she had said nothing which seemed odd. After 5 minutes she came out and motioned be to walk to the back of the location where i paid on their back register. totally fine, I was just happy to get some wings! She told me they were done and were just bagging them and would be a couple minutes. Its around 9:18 and I'm standing in the lobby and another customer walks up and says he order wings and within 7 minutes had his wings at 9:25. I wasn't too worried, could have gotten busy who knows. at around 9:35 (by this time I was sitting) the same lady who said my wings were done walked out and said what did you order again sir? I was pretty frustrated and I get these things happen but no where along they way was anyone communicating what was happening. I told the lady I ordered 12 boneless wings with the sticky sauce? the amazing I think you call it? She walked into the back and I stayed seated. 9:55 comes around and I see that girl come out and she has a bag walks up to me and says Here they are. I could tell she was insanely frustrated and I understand because she doesn't cook the food. But no one there apologized or anything. I was extremely nice and understanding (Though I was hangry) but you need to just communicate and say we dropped them, or wrong sauce was added, or we miss placed your order and here is what we will do. Won't be diner here again...
Read morePretty good place, although we originally came to the mall for Red Robin's. ( google maps took us to the wrong side) Red Robin's had a longer wait list than wingers. But I'm actually glad we came here instead. See, I'm not a big fan of BBQ and can barely handle a certain amount of anything sweet. But, this places sticky fingers ( don't like it with bone) made it worth it! The fries were also pretty good!
Also Chad our server was fantastic! And handled all of his tables flawlessly. You could tell he was having one of THOSE nights, because I never saw him stop moving unless it was to talk to everyone and make sure everything was going okay.
If you're planning on coming here, please try to tip well! I usually try to tip above the recommended guide of 20% So our bill came to 49.16 The recommended amount for tiping was around 9.50 for 20% Instead of doing the recommended, try to raise the amount a bit by at least 2-5 dollars. If I had remembered I had cash in my wallet I would have given him that too! So I decided to write 12.00 as a tip.
They are worth every penny! And if you don't think so, maybe you need to do a little reevaluating on your understanding of how the food industry works.
(In other words, mind your manners! The people here work hard at making sure everything is going okay. So even if they make 1 mistake...don't be an asshat! Remember that the servers are people too! Everyone makes mistakes! Even with a massive influx of customers coming and going they did everything perfect!)
I could keep going on with how I hate people that go out, and don't have compassion for servers, act entitled, and don't have any semblance of patience. This damn review is already longer than I usually write...so I'll...
Read moreI liked the food ok. But had to request drink refills twice. I had to ask for my nachos to be warmed up, because the cheese sauce that they brought on it was already congealed by the time I got it. Rather than warming it up, he did bring me a new one. That was nice.
Over all it worked out well. Everyone seemed to be happy. I gave the waiter the customary 20% tip. He was working hard and kept trying to make things right.
I might suggest that the manager train his/her waiters to write things down. Then things won't get forgotten. The guy can always ever to his list to see if he has forgotten, the limes, the sauce, the dressing, the refills, etc.
I've been here before and had a similar problem with the waiter forgetting stuff. We as a group ended up talking solely about this it was so bad. Everyone noticed that the waiter didn't write anything down. Instead it was like he priced himself on his memory skills. Like he was a professional waiter that had 20 years under his belt.
The waiter was a big talker and made some flippant comment about being able to remember our order. Sure, he got all of the meals right. But all of the details were forgotten. Not a single person from our group (6 men for a bushes lunch) was impressed.
Now here we were again playing the same game. COME ON... Write things down. This...
